It's been a month now, and even the promised weekly updates aren't happening :/

This game is badly broken in places and needs fixed as soon as possible.

Bio used to be known for it's attention to the community.. what happened?

Let's keep it civil and professional here, please. Fumbleumble, there are bugs in every game that's released. To expect otherwise is to be ignorant (not necessaily in a bad way) of the complexities of code and contemporary videogames. Videogames aren't magic; they are a combination of the hard work of thousands upon thousands of man-hours of work across a dozen disparate disciplines.

Because no one is perfect, and machines tend to have minds of their own at inopportune times, bugs appear in the game. We in QA, as well as the rest of the development team, try to hammer them out as best we can, but we are but imperfect humans who can't possibly build perfect programs. The idea is to reduce the number of bugs so that either the player doesn't see them, or the ones they do see are small enough to not completely destroy the game for them.

Obviously you feel very strongly about the bugs in the game, so much so that you have posted a loud, rude, and sarcastic post in our forums about them. That's fine, our forums are here for folks to talk about our game, bugs and all. What isn't fine is being rude to those who are trying to help you or clarify things for you, including our Moderators who volunteer their time and effort to this community because they love it so. It also isn't fine to break the rules of conduct we have around here, rules that you actively agreed to abide by when you signed up to participate in our community.

If you want help, it would serve you better to be constructive, specific, and courteous about it. No one here, including Moderators like Eurypterid, including developers like me, is obligated to help you in the least. We are here as a courtesy to our fans and players of our games. We participate because we love our community, and our community enjoys communicating directly with the people who made the game that they enjoy (or didn't enjoy, as the case may be). But we do not have to be here. Remember that.

The last thing on the subject of bugs: "this game has bugs" does not help anyone. If you have reports of bugs--specific, reproducible issues--then feel free to post them. Until you can point to a specific case, there's nothing we can do to help you. You might as well tell us you can't find your car, but don't tell us where you last saw it, what model it is, what colour it is, the license plate number, and not even have the keys or registration for it.

Finally, I'd like to address the "power trip" accusation to whoever said it (might have been Wrath of Doom). Do you know how you can tell we Mods aren't on a power trip? You remain free to post criticisms about us or the game.

I'm going to shut this thread down and invite Fumbleumble, the OP, to start a new thread if he wishes to continue this discussion without the shouting or the insults or the name-calling. I will also be available via private message if anyone has questions or concerns regarding our community or this message. Thank you for your participation and passion for the game, y'all.
