I know you can do this in the PC version. So why no full camera control on the 360?
Was this a technical issue or some type of cosmetic decision?
But mainly, will or can this ever be patched?
And if not, then why?
Will there ever be a patch so you can zoom the camera out?

here here. that is really my sole complaint with the game. i didn't buy this to be an action title. I wanted the spiritual successor to baldurs gate. I suppose I should be happy we got it at all

This was done intentionally, I do not believe that it shall be patched. At least not in the upcoming title update.

It's a technical issue. I believe they tried it during development, but the performance degradation was deemed to be too severe on the consoles. People may complain that it's not available, but they would complain just as much (or more) if the framerate dropped to 5 fps with it enabled. The Xbox 360 is not at the same performance level as a PC manufactured within the past two years. This necessitates certain compromises.
