Hi everyone i am hoping to build a good gaming setup and this will be my first build by the way,hopefully you guys can help me out and tell me any improvements that i can make ect...
My budget is 1600 euros,anyway here is my build

-Intel core 2 duo E8400(120e)
-Asus P5E delux motherboard crossfire-x compatible(180e)
-Asus HD 4850 GPU(130e)I may add another card when i have more money and better understand crossfire-x
-OCZ 600w PSU(200e)
-Not sure about the dvd drive yet so any suggestions?
-Weston digital hdd 500GB 7200rpm(90e)
-4GB gskill RAM 800mhz(100e)
-Centurium 590 coolermaster(100e)
-dont know what monitor,keyboard or mouse yet so any help would be appreciated


Well thats pretty much it,i am no computer whizz but i am learning as i go so any help would be great,thanks guys.Posted Image


P.S i will be buying the parts over the next three months so i can change as i go if needed.

Do you have any online computer stores located close to you? That would make it cheaper, especially if there is a pick up option.

I think your list is quite ok, but most of the parts you listed will be obsolete soon without upgrade possibility in the future.

That system is future proof in both performance and upgradability.
An Intel system does provide higher performance in video encoding and some other productivity tasks, but in gaming, it won't provide any advantage over AMD, especially at high resolutions. Plus it would cost more monetos ;-)
