I had all the ship upgrades besides the 1 that fixes my scars. All squadmates were loyal including Zaeed. I sent Mordin thru the vents because they said we needed a tech specialist & he's a salarian. I figured they're good with infiltration. After I opened the last valve for him in the following cutscene when we were forcing the jammed doors closed dude was killed? wtf how did that happen. It didn't make any mention of that in the CE prima guide i got either

Cause he's a terrible pick for the job. Someone else had him dying in the vents also, I suggested Tali and he said it worked out fine.

I've managed to save everyone twice (except for Lilth, the colonist). You need a TECH specialist for the vents, so try sending Legion or Tali.

Oh make sense. Thanks for the info. Was my 1st playthru & as a soldier at that. Time to unleash my vanguard I'll get that acheivement this time

Tali for vents - Samara for Shield - Jacob for leading Squad 2.



Worked easily for me.

Funny in the prima guide that's the 1st name they suggest. Mordin, Garrus Jacob then Legion not even a mention of Tali

Didn't use the book until last mission take its advice by using 1st name reccomended & the character croaks, lol irony at its finest

Garrus and Jacob? That's like asking to die. Those guys definitely fit the leader role more if anything.

ya, i only had 1 person die on my playthrough. lost Grunt. made me cry a little as liked grunt.

I did Legion for the Vents, Garrus for the squad leader both times, Grunt for escort, and Jack for Shield. No one died. Make sure you gain their loyalties as well, because I had everyones. I tried Thane for the vent first time, not so hot.



Pretty much, look for keywords they're talking about when picking someone. "Blah blah tech specialist." Okay, ignore everything else, pick a tech person. "Blah blah needs raw biotic power." Simple, Jack is unmatched. Etc. If not, you could always load an early save and try again to get all through it.

The person you pick to lead the 2nd team has a direct affect on whether or not the door hacker dies.

Grunt for escort? Now that's what I call a true test of loyalty.

I picked Grunt for the escort assignment, he did the job well with no casualties.

I did Tali for the vents, Miranda for the squad leader 1st time, Garrus 2nd time, Samara for the shield, and Thane for the excort, and noone died.

I lost no one Legion in vents, Miranda fire team lead both times, Samara shield, and Jacob was my escort

I used Legion for vents, Garrus squad leader both times, Samara for shield, and Grunt for escort. Zero casualties.

Final Boss: Zaeed, Miranda



Both Zaeed and Miranda died AFTER I had defeated the boss (?), and Mordin died in the fire fight.

Tali for vents, Garrus squad leader both times, Jacob for escort, Samara for shield

2nd playthrough - insanity, Soldier
Legion for vents, Miranda squad leader, Jacob for escort, SuZe for shield.

Everyone survived both times.

I had Legion in the vents, Garrus ran the 1st group. Jacob went back with the crew. Samara was my bubble lady, Jack and Grunt on my team. Miranda ran the second group. Then I took Miranda and Garrus to the final boss. No one died.

I seriously don't trust Zaeed with anything. Heh. Seriously, he's like the old rocker guy at the party who can't stop talking about all his overdose stories and all bands he played in/ partied with whether you want to hear them or not.

i was disappointed that it was so easy to survive everything. as soon as the ending started, it was just over. pretty much a cake walk for all the hype that was surrounding it

legion for vents, garrus escord, jack shield, and zaeed leader 1st marinda leader 2nd. Lost legion on first phase and grunt on second and i think i lost jack on the last phase.

i don't get it at all. sounds like some people are picking the same or similar options as I did but getting better results. picked Legion to take the vents, Garrus to lead teams both times, samara for barrier, chose Thane for escort everyone survived right up until the end, where I found out Mordin died while I was off fighting the fetal Reaper. everyone was loyal, everyone had their upgrades and I made sure to get all team upgrades. i would really like to know straightforward, even mathematically, what factors decide what so my second playthrough will get me the last achievement I need...

Yeah, it's like it's actually a percentage chance. Some people post a combo that doesn't seem to work for others. There's a chance of human error though... oh well, you can always reload.
