you know, i gave that lots of thought as well. but, i dont think that the illusive man is the shadow broker.

The books, give you an idea that the two are at odds....and the illusive man tells Liara the same in the comic, so it leads me to believe that yes, they are indeed rivals.

I thought the shadow broker has been on the scene long before Humanity even became space faring.. he has certainly integrated very well.

The shadow broker was trying to get shepards body to the collectors, TIM wanted it for cerberus. They are obviously not the same.

If the Illusive Man was allied with every major alien figure in Council space, inclusing Spectres, ambassadors, and diplomats, then Cerberus wouldn't be an illegal terrorist organization and instead something a bit more respectable, like a research company or something.



Also, he's just not old enough.

I think the Shadow Broker is Miranda's father. He was referred to as "the richest man in the galaxy."

they are two different people as the shadow broker worked with the collectors to get Shepard body hence the reason why Liara is out to get him. with that said it should be obvious where all the pieces fall

It's possible there have been multiple Shadow Brokers, or that the parts of his DNA used to create Miranda were not the parts that made her human (biotic stuff or something?)... Seems unlikely though. I did think that the Shadow Broker was probably Miranda's father until packardbell's post, but it's possible he's just the latest incarnation of Shadow Brokers... I don't know who else would be richer but would never, ever be named...

Plus since the Shadow Broker and TIM are rivals it made sense to me that to escape her father Miranda would go to his rival for protection.

 i have a theory that the "shadow broker" are the keepers or A keeper i mean they are litterally EVERYWHERE on the citidel they seem stupid and innocent they dont speak so its natural to assume day to day they hear about everything that goes on on the citidel. and they manage to scavange anything of real importance very quickly. i think that they are smarter than we think or atleast one of them is.possibly even a hive mind of some kind.
