Okay, so after 5 posts on Facebook, 6 Tweets, 3 mails and 1 PM I still didn't hear anything usefull, so I'll try this one more time.
Dear Bioware Employees,
I live in Germany and want to play Mass Effect 2 on the Xbox 360. I also want to support my local store and get the Pre-Order bonuses. What I don't want is to play the game on German. Why? Because I prefer to enjoy my games and movies in their original form. Also, because German VOs usually suck.
There are two options:
either
1. I order my copy of Mass Effect 2 from England and hope the codes there will work in Germany.
or
2. You release the Original Voice-Over as DLC in non-German-speaking countries so that I will be able to experience it without having to order my game from outside the country.
Lionhead did this with Fable 2. The DLC for ME1 was released in three languages on the Marketplace here in Germany (German, English and Italian) so I know you people realize that some gamers prefer the Original. Releasing the soundfiles can't be that hard. Hell, I would be mildly satisfied if I at least knew it's coming. But I don't. There were some rumors on German boards, but that's about it.
Please Bioware, you're my only hope. Well, you and Amazon.co.uk. But you get what I'm saying.
Please BioWare: release the English voice-over as DLC in other countries

I don't think that this will get you anything but we're in the same boat.
There was a statement released a month back saying that an English voice pack would be released as DLC at launch which after much discussion on the German ME board is now considered a hoax. I ordered a German CE just because of this. I would have gone with a UK version had I never heard about this "news". Stupidly I already redeemed my codes, so I guess sending it back is not an option. I'm not keen on spending another 50€ just for a UK release. I really want that voice pack. I find the German voice over unbearable.

Just checked. No DLC besides the Cerverus Network which cost 1200 points. I thought the DLC was supposed to be free on launch day. I'm cancelling my Pre-Order and get a copy off amazon.uk now.

It's still really annoying but I'm past that now. I just hope that the DLC will still be released in more languages. Because I will NOT buy them inf they're only German.
Seriously Bioware. A little information on this one please?

Loyal German customer here. Just purchased ME2 two days ago and not able to track down the English language pack on either Cerberus Network or Xbox Live Marketplace.
This DLC was promised to us by a moderator on the official German ME2 forums. It was reported by all major media outlets in Germany and reviews mentioned the option as a bonus for customers in Germany.
I think we all deserve an official statement on this. Where is the English language pack download?

You know, I have exams next week which is why I decided not to start the game before I'm done with them. I figured I could get the free DLC anyway on friday. When I saw that it wasn't free, I figured that this deal just didn't reach German shores. Now I learn that the free launch-day DLC is only for people who also bought the game that day and immedeatly started playing? You know Bioware, I'm the last person who should say this, but as much as I would like to, I can't play videogames all day long!
Also, there are not enought smileys in this forum to express my anger about this issue.

The irony is how often all of Europe gets shafted on games because of localisation, losing bonus content on the disc because of the extra room taken by several different language packs. I understand why they do it but it seems they should at least think to find a good medium that works for everyone. Let all of us, wherever we live, get our games in whatever language we choose. It's not hard to make downloadable language packs in all the languages you've recorded for a game...

That is EA for you, they where also behind the problem with Black & White 2.
Now I am very glad they did not make a Dutch version, I was already pissed about the manual being Dutch while I wanted an english manual, but this certainly puts things into perspective.
I really support such a patch, everyone should be allowed to play the game while listening to the original voice cast instead of cheap replacements.
