Yep, another one of these threads. Yesterday I got it to work by going into my reg keys and editing the serial code string so that it had dashes (it didn't before) which got it to work. For one day. Now the DLCs have all gone back to being unauthorized despite me using the account that has all of the DLCs registered to it.

I have tired that deleting manifest.xml stuff, doesn't work (don't even have a manifest.xml). I've tried clearing my download cache, doesn't work. I've tried restarting the program over and over, doesn't work. My registration key shows up in my config program so I have no idea what is going on now.

Anyone can offer some advice because my ticket I posted with EA Support is still unanswered and it seems as if neither Bioware or EA is on the ball for this problem.

I am using the steam version of the game.

Windows Key + R

Type : services.msc

Found Dragon age services and start it manually.

I have the same issue as you before i tried this , it worked for me but i have to do it every time i start the game. this will unlock content you have downloaded , Bioware already know that problems, i guess they trying to find a way to fix this in a futur patch.

Hope this help.

Nope, cannot locate content updater on local computer.

Also, ISA77, that Unofficial FAQ is utterly useless for me. None of what it suggests helps me.

Check out my step 3.2.1. in the other thread. Make really sure the Dragon Age : Origins - Content Updater service is listed among the other windows service and what not. From there it'll be a lot easier to troubleshoot your problem for you and the others.

This is a follow up to DhcTrixt. Some people get the Unaothorized because the service doesn't start by itself anymore and thus the game can't authentificate your DLC.
