I have to say that I'm normally a Paragon player.  I tend to prefer Paragon results, and so forth.  I really didn't like ME1 Renegade, as it was basically the route of being an ass for most of the game.

In ME2... this doesn't seem to be the case anymore.  Renegade is far better written.  I've actually chosen Renegade options as my Paragon -- especially Renegade Interrupts at times (shooting two Krogan before they attack in the head, and so on).  It's far more Jack Bauer, like it should be and less 'I'm a racist arse'.  I approve.

I'm actually looking forward to doing a Renegade in ME2.  So.

I definitely agree. Renegade was SOOO badass. I've pretty much sworn myself off paragon interrupts after seeing Shepard's hug interrupt with Tali. I did not think there would actually be a hug interrupt.

in my playthrough I played paragon but I did kill fist he just got on my nerves! I am talking ME1 here!

Lets see played as Paragon but I let the council die I also killed fist! what does that make me? can't remember if I chose just to kill that mad doc (the garrus side mission and Organs)

I confess that I'm playing Paragon, but sometimes Renegade interrupts are too hard to pass up. And the Paragon is a complete arse on a couple of occasions - during some dialogue in Mordin's quest, for example.

Also, Harkin deserved to get shot in the leg. At least.

It was just that there was a lot of joking prior to release with talking about how paragon interrupts would be "hug interrupts". I didn't romance her, and the dialog was actually nice.

It's when she sees her dead father during her loyalty mission. You help her up and hug her. I'm not ashamed to admit it was touching.

I see nothing wrong with a hug interrupt. It was well-handled, so hey.



I also liked the scene on ... er, Wrex's planet, I can never spell that place. Anyway. The guy is ranting, just keeps ranting, the Renegade Interrupt is flashing. So bang. You shoot. Apparently miss. He laughs at you and says humans can't hit-- you shoot again, sparks ignite the escaping gas and set him on fire.

I think that this is the only non-awkward moment of physical contact in dialogue (friendly pats look especially weird). It was certainly the only touching interrupt. The rest mostly involves grabbing someone's weapon...

Not true there are only two Paragon interrupts that are "hugs" one with tali and one with Fens mom... i think thats her name... anyway the rest were normally stopping a shot lol

I was sort of exagerating anyways. I stopped Garrus from shooting Harkin. The subsequent headbutt was totally worth it.
