I have the game, and I absolutely love it, yes. I'm almost ashamed to say how many hours I've already put into it (30 some odd across 3 days lol ) But i know Bioware is receptive to it's fans suggestions, and I for one like all the improvements that were made over mass effect 1. I'm just hoping all the nay sayers don't influence future design descions.
Here's hoping Bioware does'nt back pedal for Mass Effect 3.

That Bioware is dead, it died when the doctors sold out to EA. Welcome to bad console ports and DLC up the ****.

No, if you look real close its the same people hating throughout the threads. A few of them are totally hateful and won't go away.
oh good....well thats a relief.
One of my favorite new changes was to the skill system
I like the whole power evolution you get when you get a skill to 4. In my opinion thats more customization than in the first one. A whole lot better than just simply filling the bar up and just increasing the damage of a power.

its not just a small group of people "bashing" ME2. The game seems to be pretty polarizing you either love it or hate it. There are some long time bioware fans that are dissapointed in ME2, myself included.
A true Bioware fan would have been disappointed with Bioware since 2004.

Not that some people don't have valid complaints or issues with various aspects of the game. However, Bioware has been around long enough and launched enough games where they know to wait a little while before taking the forums seriously.

1. RPG's must always be like BG2 or they aren't "real" RPG's
2. Monitors > TV's so anything that is release to or for a console is inherently low-brow and a "sell-out" to the stupid unwashed masses.
ME2 violates both principles and soi they're gonna whine and kick very loudly and as a large % of the MB population here their carping will appears to be a lot more significant than it really is.

The reason you see so many negative posts on the forum is because the people who like the game are busy playing it. All game forums are like this. It's nothing to be concerned about.

Yea true. Only reason I'm here is that i have to go out and see a friend.
Me2, for me, has been "Rocking my face off".
I also see a ton of hate regarding the ammo system. Now that I definitly can't wrap my head around. Is it seriously that big a deal to not be able to fire continuoulsy?

Makes you wonder... do they have no friends? Do they hate themselves? Are they dumb?
No I truely think most of them are not happy with the game. Not much you can do about it. Some people are not happy with anything. And the smallest thing sets them off.

I like DLC. I think it helps game co's make money to fund new releases and gives the player an option to continue playing a game they bought. I think DLC is a good thing if the game co's don't hose it up like they are doing with DAO. DLC should continue a games plot with those characters, adding one or two new party members to the team. The last DLC should wrap up stuff and end the plot. Everything I have read says the new DAO:A releasing in march will not be using 90% of the DAO characters. Why? You guessed it MONEY. Thats what they said. Now what, did the voice actors decide they wanted a raise? Come on it should cost MORE to add new characters not LESS.
The people that are bashing on ME2 (I have my issues too) are pissed because they removed all RPG aspects from the game to sell more copies. If you like shooters like GOW, then you should like ME2. Those of us who have hit 30 and still have more then a few brain cells left want more from our games.
Don't worry, all the haters here will get no where. EA/Bioware could care less what we think, its all about the dollar. Look at the Ultima series. As soon as EA took it over it died. Its the meat heads at EA that like sports and cant understand what an RPG is that kill good games.

Gameplay has been significantly improved... significantly. Why anyone would hate on it is beyond me... no its not a traditional RPG, but that should be a good thing.
I get that people don't like the drastic drop in inventory, but I like the new system, my only problem is that there are so FEW options. 14 hours in the game and I have only 1 or two choices per weapon type. Not the end of the world, and I love that you upgrade guns, not just constantly find leveled up ones - it feels more real this way - but I would like a LITTLE more choice, not a ton, just some.
Inventory doesn't make an RPG, role playing does, and that is what Bioware does, allows you to role play a great story.

All game forums get like this right after release. Go look at MW2 forums from a month or two ago. Go look at the DA:O section from back in November. It's all complaints...

Many PC gamers hate change. They're threatened because they feel like making the game better is how game companies cater towards the console crowd and forget about them. Infinity Ward, Lionhead, Bethesda, now Bioware. They've all taken flak from these PC fanatics.

Being a big console AND pc player in the end, I just like videogames! I don't care what their on or how their made as long as their good!
But, while I don't agree, I can understand where PC only gamers are coming from. A good to top-notch PC is FAR more powerfull then a system, and a mouse and keyboard have a consideable amount more freedom then a controller.
A game for a PC can look, play, and controll better then a game for a system... CAN being the key word. If a game is being made for a PC it has allot less restraints then a console game often times a game really is "dumbed" down for a console. Which is not always a bad thing keep in mind. A good console to PC port will almost always be slightly better.
Sucks for PC gamers, but it's great for console gamers who are the majority.

People come to forums to talk about the game good or bad. You have to expect to see both.
