This is really upsetting. I preordered the game from Game Stop and followed the directions. Now I cant get my terminus gear because when I try to link my gamertag i get the same error every time "Sorry, that Xbox Live Gamertag has already been taken. Please try another one."
I have tried to get live chat support twice. after waiting in a half an hour queue I get disconnected and told there are no techs available. Also tried to post a question on the EA site and IMMEDIATELY got a generated response

Which does not answer my question, for i asked about mass effect 2 and gamertags, nothing about dragon age. I have yet to get any other response from them.
This is frustrating, if there is an answer out there to why i would like to hear it.
trying to link my gamertag. tells me it is in use.

You need to call and wait in the phone queue early in the day. Phones open at 7am PST...once you get through it's a simple process. I went through the exact same b.s. and was compensated nicely by EA (free armor for my troubles etc.).

Guys it sucks...I was pissed. I also recommened opening multiple chat sessions with different browers. Get IE and Firefox running, I think I made it to #1 in the queue and was dropped at least 20 times but I did get through once.
Be specific on the chat too, tell them exactly what you need because their hired help is obviously outsourced to a foreign country. The phone queue sounded like they were in the States.

on your profile, you go to add persona,and you can enter your tag there, but like what was said before,,and is my current problem as well, "your gamertag is already in use". Im gettin to the point where sueing ea for my stress sounds great

An issue some people have had is either changing their GT and though the email is still technically assigned to your XBL and EA account it screws up how their system sees it. Also say Billbradsky84 changes his GT to IWfanboy141, and you make an account or change your GT coincidentally to Billbradsky84 since it became an available GT after the original owner changed his, the system will really get jacked up, and he'll likely be entitled to your fresh Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2010 Limited Finger in too many Pies Edition DLC.Yes EA is WAY AHEAD of the curve technology wise........

The only way I remember being able to add a persona after the original registration was when I went to EA Sports World Beta or something and logged in there.
Either that or email them about it and they should help you with linking it.
