I just beat the game, completely. Did almost all secondary and all primary, recruited all people and gained their loyalty.
My problem is that I want to start a new game with a different class on my gamertag, but every time I try it puts me as a soldier(which is what I was when I first played). It won't let me choose a new class to start a new game with! I don't want to be a soldier again that is why I am trying to replay the game with different abilities.
If anyone knows how to start a new campaign and use a different class on the same gamertag without losing previous saved games, it would help me out a great deal. (I tried contacting EA support but have yet to actually speak with someone)

Are you trying to do new game plus? If you import you character who is now an ME 2 save file you cannot change your class. You are replaying the game as that character. The only way you can change class is to play as a new character or re-import your ME 1 character and choose class from there. Otherwise you need to start a new game.

This is how it is: New Game-Male/Female/ImportME1/ImportME2 I select Male, then comes the cinematic. I play that first bit and watch Shepard get rebuilt. After that it is supposed to let you choose class/name/apperance. But it will only let me select name/appearance/and special abilities unlocked through my first play through of the game. Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong to start a new game with a new class, but on the same gamertag and still keep my previous saves from ME2
