Hi all,

Recenlty been playing Mass Effect 2 and got up to the Collector ship level (the part where the Illusive Man tells you that the turians managed to disable it)

Get on board, everything is fine until after the cutscene of the dead collector.

after that Shephard gets to upgrade a weapon.. for me (playing as Sentinal) i got the choice of sniper, shotgun or assualt rifle (i think)

anyway theres this huge clearing with a ramp and theres pods on the ceiling.. the squad starts talking to each other and EDI mentions something.. as I get up the ramp the game crashes.. restarted several times and it crashes at the same place.

Any help?

I got the DLC installed - Inferno armor, normady location and Zaeed if that makes a difference

also running Windows 7 64 bit ..

I have the same problem, I have been playing for a pretty long time now, and I am on the Collector Ship, and I am on the part where you face off against the Praetorian. After about 2 minutes in that area the game crashes. Luckily, it autosaves right before that, so I've tried it several times, crashes every time.

I am having an issue with the a Collector area too but I already played through that part and it didn't lock up for me. I am near the end in the Collector Base and it locks up every time at a certain point.

Its frustrating as hell

My game crashed hard on me here too. And when I went to load up a save game, I began getting horrible stuttering and frame rate issues. So I un-installed, backed up my save files and re-installed. Worked for me...

I reinstalled but it still didn't work..

Anyone know some other way to fix it?

i figured it out.. it was a problem with the DLC



i just uninstalled ME2, reinstalled it but kept the save and settings files and tried to load up the save game. then it gave me an error message saying i needed the DLC to load the save game. installed those and it worked. no crashes after that
