I have 3 of the 4 shapes. I have been to all of the islands. I am stuck and frustrated and I am tired of getting killed and trying to guess where to go and whom to kill.

Can someone please tell me how to
1) find my friends
2) find the last shape( I have mouse, ghost thing, and burning man)
3)kill the demon or just leave the fade!!!

Any help would be awesome

your friends are in the points of the star on the Fade overworld map - you have to kill the head demons of the connecting areas to access them. The golem form is in the area between where you get the burning man form and the spirit form, I forget exactly where. I just remember it wasn't too hard to find and that you do NOT need to go through a spirit door.

Your friends are in the nightmare islands you can only get to them after you defeat all the lessor island deamons.

The golom shape which is the one your missing is part of the Tormented night I think. He is in one of the islands. Actually every island has 1 boss, and 4 of the islands have a shape you can get if you rescue someone or free them from the dream.

You have to use your shapes to get to certain spots.

The fireman can run through the fire barriers,
the mouse through the mouse hole,
the spirit can go into the spirit doors.
and the Golhem can break down the massive doors.

You need all 4 to get to everything.

When you start fighing other giants golhem things (sorry about the spelling the giant rock creatures) you will know your on the right island for that form.

I feel so stupid!!!! :D

I didn't understand that I could use the ghost to go through the spirit door cause all it would say " this wise shape can help you see things" So I was thinking if  I changed into the shape I would see something that had been invisable like loot or a chest or a demon or something.

Anyway thanks for all the help, what I have to do is understandable now.:wizard:

Its a good idea to explore fully there, lots of stats to pick up.

Be sure to rescue your buddies before you go on to the final battle with Mr. So Called Sloth. If you don't rescue them from their nightmares, you will be singing a famous song. "(Don't wanna be) All by Myself". The Celine Dion version.

Sloth is nothing like his name.

And as was mentioned earlier be sure to fully explore with all forms, since it appears you can find items to permantly increase each stat by 4.

yep yep, harsh sometimes depending on build. You need to get the golum shape to continue on. Use the spirit to force cage one while freezing another, use spirit to regen your HP, and switch to burning man for fireballs or your normal state. The spirit form opens the doors and allows you to use some of the stat increase items.

Go back to the beginning and use spirit to open that door and kill the named demon and her 2 buddies.

Then once you have all the forms you basically go bust down the doors you could not open before, kill the guys inside using various form combos and kill the bosses. Once the boss is dead between 2 points you can go to the Nightmare point and free a comrade.

you really really want them to be there for final battle.

spirit form also lets you use the stat boosters that don't work for physical forms

This was a horribly frustrating section of the game - I love the game and Bioware did a fantastic job but someone in QA should at some point have said "Hey, this section isn't fun at all!"

What are you talking about? The Fade section was my favorite part of the game so far.

I also dislike the Fade section, in my opinion it doesn't connect with the rest of the game too well. I'd love more atmosphere/story telling there.

the fade is fun, original and COMEPLETELY frustrating, i love and hate it at the same time, i hate that i dont get my party with me most of all though, being a lonesome mage in the fade is well... lonesome?

The Fade was definitely my favourite part of the game entirely.

Fun and frustrating at the same time? I am confused.

Sad to say, I did not find anything original with this part of game. The shape-shifting concept is quite ok, but the overall setting is kinda cliché. But my biggest gripe is that it's too long, you are forced to play solo and there is nothing else to do besides combat. Before my next play through I'll be looking for a Fade-Be-Gone mod first :)

^That. I understand why some people would find it so frustrating, but it was my favourite bit so far.

Can anyone tell me a hint about the "hidden room" in the raw fade? It appears to be by the dummy standing at the front of the boat but I can't figure it out.

Am I supposed to try to get the stat upgrades for other party members somehow or just pick them up for my main character? I'd rather the Magic and Willpower stats go to my casters if that's possible?

I'm wondering about that also. I'd prefer to save em for the caster's if I have a chance but also don't want to risk getting to a point where I can't go back for em.

The stat boosts only work for your main character.
