Hi folks,

I know it's a tired topic by now, but couldn't find my answer in the various threads.

Trying to get the game running Day 1 was a nightmare...kept trying the EA account and the Bioware account...finally connected, and game is fine. Can't really remember which account took the game key, because the login screens were so jammed up.

When I boot the game, it makes me connect to my EA account. When I click DLC, it takes me to the Bioware social network screen. I managed to download the files for the armor, etc., and ran them. They installed a bunch of files under my game folder...in some DLC sub-folder. That's it. When I log into DLC, I see my items, but it's still prompting me to "download" them.

Any help would be appreciated...thanks in advance

I'm unclear here. You said it installed the DLC. What do you mean by when you 'log into the DLC'?

The files I downloaded installed into a DLC subfolder under my main game folder, but when I connect to the game, it tells me I still have downloadable items, and when I go to the screen where it shows you all of your downloadable content....it's still telling me to "download" them, although I already did. It's like they somehow weren't activated. I had a similar problem with Dragon Age, and I remember that I had to go through some complex routine to fix it: move the files into some profile/appdata/roaming directory...and run something there to enable them.

To make it a little more clear. Things went as I would expect; I can log into the game, I log into the network, I see the scrolling message that I have downloadable content available. I click to get this content, and arrive at the screen that tells me what I can download. Once again, I down and install the items that are available...it seems like they are installing (I go through the whole download and install dialog), but they are not. Next time I log in the game I'm told that I have items waiting to be downloaded...etc. Down this half a dozen times already. I gave the dowload files saved in a directory, but when I run from my PC...same result. They are just not being recognized by the game, as being installed.

I see what you mean. Just tried installing it on my game, and I get the same thing. Did a search to find out exactly where Zaeed is supposed to show up and when I got there, he's not there. No weapons or armor either.

Same issue here...I bought game on release day, installed game, registered game, and redeemed access code for cerebus...I downloaded both cerebus and zaeed files independently from website and installed them successfully. I have game set to auto login the in-game laptop (on the right) opens..scrolling texrt etc...

How do I know if the game recognizes that the DLC was installed? The 2 file folders are located C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Mass Effect 2\\BioGame\\DLC. As the OP pointed out, the bioware social network is giving me the option to download the files I already installed whereas the Dragonage DLC I installed previously is greyed out (as in: already installed and 'not available'). This is driving me nuts.

Update. Reinstalled the game, started it up and connected to Cerberus Network, then exited and installed the DLC. Played through to the point where you get access to the armor and it was there. All the DLC I installed (Zaeed, Normandy crash site, Blood Dragon Armor, Terminus Armor) showed up in the private terminal, so looks like all is good with it now.
