How can I make the game track/upload my character which is currently ingame and not just starting out?

I can confirm that it does automatically upload the character and update the character profile after a long waiting period.

It must be a very long period. After 2 days of playing I still have my old character on the website and I connect every play.

It does take awhile. Took 2+ for mine to appear, but they are having teething problems to be patient and remember this is a beta. Then again, it should be past beta when there is no other option and this is a AAA title.

Yes, it took more than half a day for my first character to appear.

it will upload as you play, however they are dealing with a severe server load at the moment which they are trying to fix asap, in such manner uploading characters and other site or login related things are a little slow.

Isn't the game also supposed to track 360 games as well? I registered my game and I'm playing while connected to Xbox Live, but there is still nothing here on the social network...

I've had speedy character updates up until this last 36 hours. Does a good job of almost instantly updating my achievements, but my character hasn't been updated since level 9...Level 13 now, which is like a day worth of gameplay.

i ain't even got the game yet but u guys really should read around before asking questions, character updates are dependant upon a number of variables... one of which i whether opor not some1 views ur profile and ofc there is the matter of this being the launch of the game and therefore a high amount of traffic crossing the bioware servers.

I have it set to automatically upload the character, but no character yet (only old characters from the CC). Should that be enough, or do I have to click upload somewhere, like in the CC? Or just wait (been a day now)?

My character and stats still aren't showing up, all I can view are my achievments (xbox 360).

Is it correct that, unlike the pre-lauch Character Creator, you don't have to manually upload the character? I'm still waiting...

That is correct. You may create a brand new character and simply start playing while logged in and it'll be uploaded and tracked, eventually.
