The biggest appeal of Morrigan to me is that she works so well in a Game. When you play a game you play to win of course, and consciously or unconsciously you very often stay in that mind set when you approach the romance in the game too (not to mention that many men seam to keep that attitude to women anyway...) So Morrigan, by being wicked, contrary and afraid of closeness simply represent the ultimate prize. To romance her is to beat the hardest "romance boss". And that is why so many people can't get over the fact that she "got away" I think.

Personally I wouldn't mind seeing Morrigan again, but you would ruin her magic if you could actually win her in a traditional sense and live happily ever after with Morrigan. I hope that will never happen.

Agreed, sure, but - sleeps with you once, then goes psycho? I'm not sure yet if she isn't the next "Fatal Attraction", so let's say the jury is still out. She's definitely the type of girl you WOULDN"T want to bring home to meet mother, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. :-)

Meh, speak for yourself. I don't dislike her, but she's certainly not my idea of a perfect woman.

Oh, how I loled.

I'd say Morrigan is joint top on my VG females list with Chloe Frazer from Uncharted 2.  I see a connection there...

How Morigan treats the Dog is very revealing about who she is I think. She is pretty awesome I have to say. I have a theory about the child. I think what she intends to do is raise him/her and then try and posess it using Flemeth's magic.. the more powerful the host is the more powerful she would become. Perhaps become a godess for all practical purposes?

That is exactly what I'm thinking she's got plans on doing... It would only make sense... Why else would she want Flemeth dead or at least weakend to where she needs time to get her strength back, enough time for Morrigan to excape n settle herself somewhere.  She already knows Flemeth can do it n she already has the spell book to know how... Why else would they come up with this plan

I hate Morrigan. The snide comments every time I do anything are more than I can take, and the shapeshifter specialization leaves a lot to be desired. I would leave her out of the group, but mages are just too good.

Im pretty sure Morrigan will return. Bioware must had some plans with her since she ALWAYS leaves. I can imagine there will be hints of her in Awakening tracking her path after leaving in Origins. She can even appear (probably tranquilled) at very end of Awakening without child (Flameth needs new body). So u will be pretty hungry for next expansion/DA2. I hope she will be fulltime party member once again since she had best random dialogs/personal notes and brilliant writen personality (her "dialogs" with dog or Sten r awesome). And whoever say shes heartless evil b**ch dont rly know her. Shes relative good with neutral shell, but what do u want from some1 who spent whole life in wilderness where stronger survives and weakness means death.... and Flemeths dont help much either.

Honest: While she is not up front with you on why she was told to go with you. Most of the time, she doesn't hold her feelings back, she will straight up tell you how she feels and any reaction you say to her doesn't leave her in shock

Wow, I would say anything but honest. I think she is cold, manipulative, and naive. If you ask her her why Flemeth saved you and why she risk sending her with you she gives you half hearted answers or I don't knows. The night of the ritual, however, she all of a sudden recalls," this is why Flemeth sent me with you." This was her plan all along. If that is your idea of honest.......you can have it. Dream girl........I think not. Based on looks, maybe, I want nothing to do with a woman like that.

But she's clingy... And she lies... And can't be redeemed. Sure, it's great that she doesn't end up getting fixed by love, but...It's not a good trait that she gets a taste of what it's like to be nice and STILL runs off to further her own ends. Not to mention she's petty ("Oh, you're not going to teach me Shapeshifting as some pathetic attempt to control me? That's just great, have you seen Lelianna?"), spiteful, manipulative, downright cruel, self serving, insecure...

The list goes on and on. I think she's a great character, even if she's pretty hard to like but...Your dream girl? Really?

Edit: And damnit, I want to romance Wynne in the expansion. She's the only damn female character who isn't crazy and clingy.

Hard not to get wood when she saunters across the bedroom floor nearly nakid in Redcliffe. However, my duster dwarf berzerker reaver that I specifically built to be ugly as something stuck to your boot in the Deep Roads really ruined the mood for me as a voyeur...

I think part of the appeal is that she *is* aware of her sexuality and uses it. An open window is attractive when you want a view of the playground :) Of course, she does this on purpose to use and exploit your feelings for your benefit, so you just have to decide whether you a) want everyone else playing on your playground since it is accessible to all and B) trust that she is not inviting you to the playground simply to get what she wants from you and is willing to act however she wants until you are wrapped around her little finger. lol Bad analogy, but there you have it. She *may* ( or may not depending on your point of view) actually love you, but I think its safe to say she didn't flirt with you for any reason other than her own plans. If outcome is important to the exclusion of her *intention* then all is well and good.

Women can use their sexuality to get quite far, without doing much of *anything at all* to be honest. I was in college once, I am not above remembering :) Having to actually sleep your way to the top is a sign you need more practice with your feminine wiles ;) Morrigan is clever enough to know her feminine powers, but not quite smart enough to know when she needs a different tactic ( like with female characters). Yet anyway, she is young and she will be back :)

Uh, no. Morrigan is deceptive and selfish and cold, not honest.

Even bearing in mind her upbringing and the fact that you start to see her change and battle with the fact that shes changing, she has a real problem expressing her emotions. So far as to completely deny the existance of love and despises the idea of it. I don't see how you can consider that honest. Honest people have no problem expressing themselves in anything. Morrigan only ever expresses herself wholly when it doesn't concern her and only when it's a negative/gain something thought.

If Morrigan were a woman IRL, and if you let your guard down for even a second and got hooked, Morrigan would be the sort of woman to take your heart, toy with it first before throwing it away and for good measure stomping on it.

She is an interesting character, but not even close to a fantasy girl, way too many complications in her personality to let your guard down for even a second. If you were seeing such a woman IRL, the best you could hope for is some good fun for a month or two before moving on.

well ^^ yea i could agree with allot of what you say .But it was the way flemith conditioned her about love .love just doesn't just happen you learn it .She not a robot and could realize true love is not so bad. Because your gaining another persons strengths to compliment your own . Someone to have your back .We are taught by our parents they way we should be in their eyes, but very few follow their ways completely, we form our own views and add them in . With her lack or social skills / because flemith diddnt teach her many , From being hurt and never forgiving ,turning cold
i bet almost immediately morrigan missed the group and the PC being on her own and all .And having now to talk to strangers by herself

I understand the way Flemeth brought Morrigan up has a lot to do with it. Like you said yourself however, people very rarely stay the way parents teach them to be.

I am just saying my opinions of what I found about her. Don't get me wrong, I do find her interesting, and it would be hard to resist her, I have been caught up with girls IRL before that are similar to her (well, minus the cold) but as a fantasy girl? No way.

Aye, I have not met a woman with a flawless personality nor will I expect to, it's a bit too much to ask and considering I'm not perfect myself definetely too much to ask. However Morrigan has no relationship qualities, she's not loyal, is not wholly honest and has trouble communicating - 3 Key things that make a good relationship.

Not a fantasy girl, but a girl you have a small but fun thing for a while going with that leaves good impressions.

Liliann tells you she manipulates and has used sex to get what she wanted and killed many for years that to me is scary to be sleeping next to .Compaired to morrigan that has had littel time in the world to make her own choices and veiws

edit: it just seems like morrigan would be easyer to mold /change then lilanna would . but hell wouldnt kick either out of my bed , except to get me a beer maybeePosted Image

I wish she'd fall off a convenient cliff along with most of the female interests from ME2.
Like I've said before, Wynne is a thousand times smexier than Morrigan.
