Hi all! Posted Image

Okay, I was at the gym earlier and they played a few of the titular heroine's videos on the screens. For the record, I'm just a casual fan, shes some great pop songs and shes easy on the eye so whats not to like. Posted Image

Anyway I digress.

I was thinking that some of her wacky outfits would make great attire for lady mages (and maybe even female rogues and warriors too - she does have a chainmail bikini in the Bad Romance Video after all). Posted Image

I imagine the female Dragon Age players would like to see some more fashionable clothing for their characters and the companions, while I'm sure the male players won't mind a bit of a sexier wardrobe for the girls either. Posted Image

So the first question is: Would you like to see Lady Gaga inspired outfits in Dragon Age?

...and secondly, what stats would you assign to Lady Gaga's costumes in the game?

Bad Romance Video: Opening 'Gold' Dress = +5% coinage found in encounters when worn.

Eh....there's sexy and then there's trashy. Lady Gaga, while recognizable, is more on the trashy scale imo. (I also think she's rather plain when she's not all made up, but I digress.)

edited for typos

I do agree that mages really could do with some more creative outfits. And why not look at GaGa for inspiration :P

http://userserve-ak....y GaGa Gaga.png this for example would make a great mage outfit

And a head ornament like http://userserve-ak....y GaGa Gaga.png certainly would be better than those awful cones most mages have to wear as it is.

That said, I'd take Lady Gaga inspired clothing over another mage robe with fur shoulder pads.

...seriously guys. That was a terrible idea.

The character designer of FF games is inspired by popular fashions and we all know that goes over so well.

While I don't care for her music she is interesting and one of the very few pop singers that actually have talent.

Any gaga inspired mage fashion is ten times better than the ridiculous looking traffic cone party hats.

I'm not a big fan of drag queens.

I'm not a big fan of bigotry.

The cone hats are kind of bad, though I assume accurate to er, something that actually existed, I don't think we need to go from one extreme to the other. Maybe mages should just have Ioun stones and we can call it good. :P

I don't mean this to be offensive, although I'm sure it will be taken as such. That very well might be the worst idea I have ever heard on these forums....maybe anywhere, concerning anything.

Well, I'm not offended. There is wisdom in your words.

Not at all.

I thought the idea was about as wacky as some of her costumes... Posted Image

WelI, I have lost track of the amount of times I have read here on these forums that the clothing for the characters is dire - particularly mages and rogues.

Thus it struck me while watching the (Bad Romance) video earlier, where better to get inspiration for imaginative female clothing than (arguably) the world's #1 fashion icon. Much of it is outlandish enough to be perfect for a fantasy setting.

Must the game be dressed in unfashionable clothes, its the Dragon Ages, not the Dark Ages after all. Posted Image

God, no. Just no.

Though I wouldn't mind some mage robes similar to the elementalist armors of all the Guild Wars campaigns.

That looks more like a hot Rogue Assassin get-up than a Mage get-up, but a Fereldenized version looks worth a try. Posted Image Rogues should have cool yet non-stealth breaking clothes for those that wanna dare to fight without Armor power, Ninja style! Posted Image

Hmm. Morrigan wearing a bearskin train dress. Okay, I could get behind that, I guess.

Wynne wearing the red tape dress from Bad Romance.... :|

Do not defile the game with Lady Gaga she is not hot or is she a good singer or whatever, polluting the game content with Lady Gaga is like defiling the Sacred Ashes of Andraste

Yes. You can practically see her balls swinging to and fro while performing.
