She is talented, and those that debate that should rethink their opinions, or at least do a wee bit more research.
Pertaining to the topic, well, I could see them working, I guess. However, the Guild Wars elementalist robes were GREAT.

Sure, because female eye candy is what female players want.
I mean, seriously? Either sex up the men, too, or stop making female rogues run around in armor that doesn't protect their vital organs. As for Morrigan's top, all I can think is that one of these days I'm going to loot a genlock's body and find the special "Adhesive Coating" drop that explains how her clothing stays on.

But in Dragon Age? No. Just... No. Her style, while something I do like (as a female too), is not something that would fit into the DA setting at all. It's too modern and too flashy.
But, I'm sure somebody could mod it for you.
I'll just enjoy my GaGa out of the game, thank you.
EDIT: www.youtube.com/watch
Paparazzi is MUCH better acoustic than Poker Face. She really does have talent, most people just think that hating any artist who's popular will get them originality-points/scene-points/goffik-points/cool-points/whatever. It doesn't. Quit blindly hating people because they go popular... I know FAR too many people who say "I used to like So-And-So, but now that they're popular, I hate them."
Back on topic... No. I quit MMOs because of the chainmail bikinis. Not again.

So...this thread is what happens when they don't add any chainmail bikinis into a fantasy game.
Great.
Please no chainmail bikinis in DA:O! ... It's just stupid when the female armors the more skin they show the more def it has...

I think you are way too deep into trash pop culture. It leads to severe brain damage, you know?
Pop sux usually, but Lady Gaga has style, the only problem I have with her is her music.
Come to think of it, DAO needs Black metal and Gothic outfits.
I want Corpsepaint and panda-makeup for my warriors, Neo-Style Coats for rogues and gothic clothes for witches

On topic, no that would be horrible. Utterly horrible and like many people have said it's bad enough we can't get rid of her already with everything else.

I imagine the female Dragon Age players would like to see some more fashionable clothing for their characters and the companions, while I'm sure the male players won't mind a bit of a sexier wardrobe for the girls either.
Sure, because female eye candy is what female players want.

THIS!
This is one of my major pet peeves about the gaming industry. We female players, contrary to some deluded (hopeful?) males' beliefs, for the most part don't want our female characters nearly-nude. Not only do the majority of us not get thrills from seeing half-naked women, but it just isn't very practical--and Ferelden seems to be a reasonably practical society with at least a minor degree of realism in the coverage = protection factor. I will grant you that some women would like to have half-nude female characters--either because of being attracted to their own gender, or because they believe that this looks trendy and fashionable (primarily because they know it's something that men like, even though it also typically means that the woman who dresses that way won't be respected by men OR other women and often sexual assaults are blamed on a woman for dressing in just such a manner).
In fact, forest lady or no, I think Morrigan is rather underdressed--perhaps especially because she's running around in the forest (it would make more sense for her to be dressed in durable, heavy buckskin or the like--forests are full of snagging branches and thorns and such, and so shapeshifter or no, you'd want to be wearing clothing sufficient to protect your flesh from harm!). The light armors don't even seem to be protective enough--particularly the female Dalish armor. Granted, hardened or thick leather isn't the best armor to start with, but you'd think that they'd at least give these characters all some leather greaves and a codpiece for the males to protect their tenderest parts. But the female Dalish armor just goes into the realm of the ridiculous. Sure, bare your spine and midriff to the enemy's arrows and swords! They'll never think to hit you there even though you've just presented them with a fantastic target.
I've read somewhere, too, something that makes all of the female medium to massive armors pretty useless in terms of realism, though I can't guarantee it's true. Apparently, you wouldn't want shaped breast-moulding on your armor, because it gives a target--pierce the armor there and you get straight to the heart or at least the lungs. However, I mind far less having sculpted metal boobs than I do not having my characters covered. And, I've taken to changing Morrigan's robes--frankly I don't mind the furry shoulder pads, and even though I think the miniskirt/loincloth-over-shorts look is a bit silly, I'd rather have her wear Reaper's Vestments than her own drapery (it doesn't really deserve the term "robe").
Frankly I'm sick of the gaming industry telling us by example that our female characters ought to be running around in chainmail bikinis or similar armor that offers pretty much no protection whatsoever, while the males get downright awesome armor regardless whether they're in robes or plate. Yes, I know in reality most women couldn't wear massive armor, but in a fantasy world with magic--why can't they?
So yes, if our female characters get tossed MORE skimpy robes and chainmail bikinis, I want to see loincloths for the males, including one that serves somehow as massive armor.
And, OP? Please do not assume in the future that because you, as a straight male, want to see more bare femme-flesh, that we straight female gamers also want to see more bare femme-flesh--not unless you want to one day find a game created by female developers that is populated by well-toned men wearing nothing but loincloths. Consider yourself warned!

As an aside, I don't mind a bit of fantasy in the outfits. Armour tends to be more elaborate than it really would be, and probably a bit more shapely, besides. I mean, I think my character would prefer that her collarbones not be exposed. But it's still a fair bit beyond the stupid chainmail bikinis.

I agree that armor like the female Dalish one sux, but it´s a totally different matter with witch robes and such.
Traditional witches tend to get their power partly, if not mostly, by being sexually attractive, so hot clothing totally fits to them.
BTW, I want the possibility to play a ****ty (meaning S L U T TY; F*ck the auto-censorship....) PC, so I want appropriate clothing for that^^.
And @ Brass_Buckles: I´m a heterosexual man, but I wouldn´t mind hot clothing for men....

Brass Buckles -- as I understand it, the deal with armor shaping is that you want to redirect the force of a blow AWAY from the body. This is why the massive armor has that ridge down the center; it deflects the weapon to the side. Boob-sculpting would instead redirect the force into the wearer's sternum, which is not what you'd call ideal. Mind you, that look was never for infantry anyway: the massive armor in this game (with its freaking ENORMOUS pauldrons) most closely resembles jousting armor, which was built for a very specialized purpose, not generalized warfare. But since that's a form of unrealism that doesn't demean anybody, I'm more than happy to let it go.

Tirigon -- either you need to offer a metaphysical proof that sexiness = magical power in the real world, or you're arguing for trashy robes on the grounds that women have historically needed to leverage their sexuality in order to (partially) overcome social inequality. The latter is not something to celebrate, I think. I'm not against people looking sexy, but it's a pretty seriously one-sided game these days.

Like I said, boob-sculpted armor doesn't bother me half as much as armor/robes specifically meant to make my character look like, hrm, a "loose woman." And it's not just the oversexualizing aspect of it, but as I pointed out, the practicality. And if you're thinking that high dexterity would offset any danger from too much exposed flesh, Ferelden is supposed to be cold!
And as for the leather, I did point out that it's as silly for the males as for the females. No greaves/knee pads? Guys don't even get a codpiece? ... Ouch. Just ouch.

Well, it is common knowledge in occult lore that witchcraft was always linked with Sex. After all, witches were best known for f*cking demons in the middle ages...

Edit: I just remembered. I've heard unconfirmed intel of gals goin to the hospital irl from terrible complications from chainmail bikini wearing, so I don't think they're a good idea, real or not. Performance 1st in armor. Those that wanna show off their bodies should do it in clothes.

They sold chainmail lingerie in Wacken Open Air a few years ago. Apparently it was great stuff and many people bought it.

As for some Lady GaGa inspired gear... hmmmmm I could get into it. Though I can't really see the chain mail bikini. Perhaps redesign some of the existing mage robes to be more "GaGa-esque" without making them too over-the-top. Oh, and a staff called "Disco Stick."
