the biggest problem i ahve is that i love dogs alot and i have to have dog in my party but tbh he will be a weak link:(...couse he takes place for waorior char or shale..couse you should have warior char like shale or sten or dog..mage char and rogue char in a party...so that means if you put dog shale and sten or dog and 1 of them you dont have good balance:(...i am saying from perspective of playing warior myself probably with shield and 1h first time:)

Me - Noble Human Warrior (finally a warrior mechanic that does not just mean click and wait much more like DAOC)

Leliana, - Rogue abilities, if I can steer the spec it will be archery for Mage "duties"

Wynn - I tend to steer Lawful Good (I know no mechnaic but imagine the choices) and we need a healer with "some" Mage duties

4th... Hmm tricky, thinking Alistair but then again as I play sword & Shield that will be two the same... but his comments look too funny NOT to have him. Its him, Sten or Shale I've never liked Beserker charectors, so Ogrens out (I find the Abilities always go into cool down when you need them most, and it ends up costing your healer 10X the effort to keep them up.)



Not 100% on that would like Morigan, but I find having two tanks helps control the situation better. (more HP shields before the juicy caster gets mashed.)

First group:

2 warriors - Alister (he is funny, i like him) and Sten (he looks strong, very strong. Thats good).

1 mage - Morrigan. Her specialization of shapeshifter looks promising.

and me - human noble rogue. Someone needs to unlock the chests.

My human noble warrior here (going the sword & board route) will be accompanied by --



1) Dog! Beloved companion, link to her past, and arse-mauling melee support. I just need to decide on his name.



2) Wynne. Mentor, moral compass and in charge of healing and support duties, with maybe some AoE action when called for.



3) Leliana. Gotta have a rogue, and I am warming up to her bit by bit. She will be an archer to provide ranged damage while Mayat and Dog kick butt in melee.

I'm bringing whoever crosses my path first.



However I'd like to have a party with Alistair, Morrigan and Leliana. So I have 1 Warrior/Mage/Rogue and both my romance options. Don't actually like Wynne and Zevran anyways.

Also, I think Alistair and Morrigan are a great combination to have in your party, judging by the ingame trailers I've seen.



I also want Rabbit, but you can only have 3 other party members so bad luck for man's best friend...

Seóran, yours truly is a rogue that's going to be very handy at lockpicking and talking.

Oghren, he's actually the only one I really like (well, we haven't seen much from him yet, now have we?).

Then it's blank. I'll have to take either Morrigan or Wynne though, of course. As of now I'm leaning more towards Wynne. But then again, I won't get a romance option since I'm not going to tag along with Leliana.

My last companion will be... Sten, perhaps?
Bah, I'll go on my gut-feeling when I play the game.

so far, shale, morrigan, dog, though dog will probably trade for a rogue like leleina, because i'll probably play as a warrior.

I am pretty sure I've given Morrigan a permanent place in the group. Beyond that however, it's a complete mess of indecisiveness.

But I guess some will be big "no-noes" since Morrigan is in my group, like Wynne and... uhm... hmm... well Wynne at least. One less to worry about.

For my female rogue dalish elf, I will probably take Alistair, Zevran and Morrigan.

I first planned to play human noble rogue, with dog then alistair, and Morrigan and Zevran

I now hesitate with the city elf origin, which would eliminate dog.



Not impressed so far by sten, wynne, leliana (too goody), and we know nothing about Oghren.

And I will certainly keep the golem for my mage playthrough.

Morrigan - at least I want to, but I think she will get angry at my actions...hope I can deal with that

Zevran - going to romance him probably, and I'm not a big Leliana fan, so, that's my rogue. again, I think my actions will be more well-suited for Leliana, my party is all wrong :S

Dog - I like dogs, only hope that I can be the tank and he the dps (think it's how it's written), seeing that everybody is setting it to be a tank.
