Since my first character will be a mage, I'll take Shale along, and a rogue, probably Zevran rather than Leliana. Whether I take another warrior or Morrigan along will depend on what fights I can anticipate I guess. I like Alistair a lot as an NPC, but I'd prefer to keep him for my second playthrough with a female human noble warrior.

me (rogue)
Shale (warrior)
Morrigan (mage)
anyone else that catches my fancy cause my first 3 really balance out the group in skills and whoever I find to be the best fit is who I will choose.

Two-Bull, the Maul wielding Berserker/Reaver
Shale, he seems to have a good alignment
Leilana, seems to be the best of the rogues
Wynne, a goody-goody that hopefully will agree with my choices.

Sten, Wynne and Dog. I hope Sten and Wynne get along. They seem very set in their ways.

For my Dalish Elf Ranger, I am going to bring:
1.) Dog: Because he is furry and lovable. ;P My character is going to be a ranger, so she'd like to have an animal companion around, probably much more than any of the people.
2.) Zevran: Since I have been excited at the thought of him as a romance option since I knew he existed!
3.) Morrigan: Because my character is going to be evil, and they actually share a lot of the same views on things. I hope they can be friends. Well, evil friends. ^__^

Im going my mage, probably big into entropy but i dont know what specializations.
Alistair- He is my tanking buddy
Leliana- Cause i want a rogue and I don't like Zevran's voice.
My fourth character is undecided. I'm thinking Wynne for healing but I don't know if I'll like her.

Most likely start with my Dwarf Commoner/Assassin and bring along:
Wynne - I have a weakness for the wise and experienced. And as much as I love her name, I find Morrigan too obnoxious
Sten - Solid, knowledgeable. Definitely someone you'd like watching your back.
I can't decide between the dog or Zevran for my third companion.. And I don't know if that's a compliment or an insult to the dog ....

I'm not a 100% sure yet and if there comes a few other unannounced companios we'll see about those.
For now I thinknig i'll keep a spot for Alistair because he seems a bit unserious like me. :x
I'll also keep one for Morrigan because of her interesting personality - I hope she accepts my actions, I think I'm too good hearted. :x
and last but not least - Zevran,
Sad thing there is no male Mage/Healer. :<

Morrigan of course
Leliana perhaps
The last one is hard. Should I take the dwarf (always fun to have a dwarf), the templar (who happens to be witty about everything and a good guy), Shale (big bad gollum is always good) or Sten (the macho guy with a greatsword). Decisions decisions decisions!

Hmm... Let us see here.
Corkus: The coldhearted sarcastic Mercenary does the job right if the pay is right, played by yours truly
Alistair: The comedian of the group. I mean, who else doesn't want a guy commenting on each and everything the Group does?
Morrigan: The Sorceress. Never refuse a fine woman with a dark personality. Corkus is going to place his steaks high and see what his luck takes him.
Zevran: The sly Assassin. In truth, Corkus knows who he is and how he works and for that, he hates him. Yet he brings him along the Party. "Some grudges grows old while some are still cold, waiting for the right moment."

I expect to mix em up quite a bit too. My dilemma is that I intend to play a rogue archer assassin, but I'd like to romance Zevran, who is also an assassin... however, if I spec him for dual wield melee DPS that should work out. He can handle the stealth and backstabbing and pickpocketing, and I will take care of speechcraft and locks
Or maybe I'll just make my archer a warrior. STILL undecided!
Regardless, I'll need a tank... will try em all out and see which I like, but Shale appeals to me
And a mage... with two rogues in the party we'll need a healer, so I guess that would be Wynne.
I expect to take everybody in my party for a while at least, though once we get started on companion questlines, if it's like other bioware games, it probably isn't safe to swap em out, if you want any hope of completing the questline without getting into major spoilage

Can't really say yet, as I don't know if they still have non-featured companions yet to be announced or discovered through actual gameplay (I hope there are a few unannounced ones when the game is released).
I plan on at least playing a Human Noble, Warrior - 1H (Sword?) & Shield. The character I use for my Profile Photo. So there I have my tank. With him, I guess a DD(+Ranged hybrid?), Healer(+DPS hybrid?) and Ranged. Shale does look interesting to bring along considering I get the content with the Digital Deluxe pre-order I have made and I will probably end up taking him (it?) along. As much as I understood, you can 'drop' and get other companions during your playthrough, then pick up old ones again (kinda brings back memories to Suikoden, hehe) - so I might end up switching around a little to experience more content.
PS: I wonder who Yuo will bring along though. (I'm born to be a spelling police officer
- although I frequently make typos and have bad grammar in my own english writing. And I'll excuse it with norwegian being my native language.. *whistles*)

Most of you are forgetting about Oghren. Sure, Sten might be funny, but I'd be willing to bet that having Oghren around will be a scream!
P.S. I couldn't stop laughing after seeing him pass out at the end of the teaser vid:

I'm thinking Alistair, Leilana, and either Morrigan or Oghren. Having another dwarf with my dwarf tank will be interesting.

I don't know yet, I'll have to wait till I meet them and find out which annoy me and which I find interesting. However, going on appearances and what I've gathered in videos for personalities..
Sten, Morrigan, and Zevran. Myself as a bard more than likely. Typically take the honorable path first then go through a second time as a cruel bastard but found that in ME I had much more fun with the dark path. I may switch out one for Alistair or Leilana just for banter.
