my sheps an evil bish to everyone but her team(even in me1) so i wanna make it so she dies and saves her team or somethin like that lol

You do missions for your squad members and gian loyalty and choose the right characters for the job at start of game.

yes it can bioware said team could ive you die or vice versa or anything in between or all live or all die

nope they were talkin bout the ending.

Hudson also confirmed that team members would be affected by the
player's decisions during the final mission: "You might have an ending
where Shepard’s entire team survives, or where the entire mission is a
bloodbath and everyone (including Shepard) is killed, or anything in
between."[32] The ending in which Shepard is killed represents a permanent death
for the character in terms of the story, rather than a death where the
player simply reloads from the last saved game after making a mistake
in combat, meaning Shepard will not be available for Mass Effect 3 in that scenario.[33]

The best chance is probably make everyone loyal except your final team to take on the final encounters. (The 3rd person you select is the one who end up pulling you up?)

Dude, nowhere in that quote does it say that Shepard can die and everyone else live.  It can't happen.

So, is it random, then? I was reading another thread on who should do what, and it seemed like it was when it came to your team dying during the final mission.



But yeah, I was also going for the whole "sacrifice mahself for mah team" thing. Kinda wanted The Shepinator (he was a Renegade after all...creepy glowy Terminator eyes) redeem himself for all his badassery. Oh well.

There are certain combinations that work, to get everybody through alive.



Basically, do the loyalty missions for those you plan on sending to do those tasks, but not for the people you're going to take with you as squad-mates.



I think it's default that they can live, but you won't make that final jump; or at least won't be helped up and fall.

Ah. I suppose that last bit makes sense, although I did Legion's mission and he still died at the first phase, even though I used him as the Tech specialist. I dunno, guess I'll have to play through again...like I need an excuse.

I´ve completed the game in many different ways. it is not possible to make only shepard die.

this does not mean that only shepard can die only that it is possible that some of the members will die and some will survive. i guess that´s what they where trying to tell

AFAIK, Shepard cannot die while everyone else lives. If any teammates are left alive at the end, they will pull you back onto the Normandy.



Unless you can convince your surviving team member to /not/ help you, you're alive.



Or, after the mission is done, go harass the Biotic God volus. He'll destroy you.

Look, it simply isn't possible to get an "ending" where Shepard is the only one who dies.

The only way Shep dies is if nobody is there to pull him/her back up onto the Normandy.  The only way that happens is if no one is alive (although someone said that it could happen if only 1 person is).  So basically, if Shepard dies, you can't save any more than one of your team mates.  Otherwise they pull you back onto the ship and Shepard lives.
