So, I just beat the game this morning, only my first play through, and I thought I would share my thoughts on the game.

I'll start with what I liked about ME2:

I love how polished the game looks, it runs pretty smoothly for me at an avarage of 46 to 50 fps, sometimes higher.  The new races were cool and the new characters of known races were well done, my favorite characters have to be Jack, Joker, and Zaeed this time around.  Of course all of the characters have their moments.  Like where Garrus says to Shepard:

"The Collectors killed you once and all that managed to do was ****** you off, I don't think they will be able to kill you this time."

There is still plenty of humerous dialogs between the crew and the AI adds a whole new comedic level to Joker.  I was loling everytime he and EDI would fight.  I loved the idea of having a "True Geth" on the team, it was an interesting expereince and Legion is interesting in the first place.  A lone super-advanced Geth with Shepards armor fused into this body.

The game feels more streamlined then ME1 did, I do not know if it the new moement system or just that pace of the levels.

I like the music, its pretty fitting for most of the game.

Things that I liked and disliked at the same time:

I liked the tech uopgrade center, it brings a new dimension into the game as far as getting better weapons goes, however, that being said, I also dislike it because it limits weapon customization,  I would like to see a system similar to ME1 in ME3 where weapons have various stages.

While we are on the subject of weaponry, I was miffed at the lack of arms this time around.  In ME1 there were literally hundreds of guns to choose from, in ME2 so far all I have found is all 6 Heavys, and 2 or 3 of everything else (thats was not part of the DDE).  I also did not like how restricted weapon switching was.  I would like to be able to re=eqquip anywhere at anytime, not at some pos terminals.

I liked the hacking and bypass mini-games but they are too easy, they should add some harder ones for ME3 and also add more for some variety.

I also miss the old inventory window,  euld br nice to see that in ME3.

Now to what I hate:

No Mako!  Yes seriously, I was mad to find out they scrapped the Mako, I loved driving it around.  And I was also miffed that planet 'exploring' got replaced with planet 'scanning,  but I also like the idea they tried to omplement with that system.

My biggest complain of all is that BioWare shrank the ME universe in 2.  Most of the old Citadel areas are closed off and none of the systems you went to in ME1 are even selectable (save a select few).

All that said I would still give ME a 7 out of 10 if I were to rate it.  Kinda falls short of my expectations in some areas, but makes up for it eventually.

I did not really miss inventory system. I would take amazing combat in this game instead of old **** combat.

Id say the hacking and bypass although sort of redundant is much preferred to that atrocious wheel spin we had in ME1.

I was never a fan nor a hater of the Mako. Did think it was sort of monotonous but really, I dont think it was much worse then the planet scanning we have now.

I do feel you though on the shrinkage of the Citadel, that was sort of my favorite part of the game in ME1.
