When you enter your account code on startup of Mass Effect 2, it links just to your gamertag, right?  You never enter your EA/Bioware account/password information?

You need to enter the code at masseffect.com. You don't redeem any of the codes in-game.



Basically, bioware will have you sign into the site using your EA account info, and at that point the account linking between your EA ID and your gamer tag should occur. Then, you can enter your code (on masseffect.com) and the items will go into a queue for you to download from the marketplace the next time your turn on your Xbox.

I am trying to figure this out too. I activated the Cerberus Network from in the game and it never asked me to enter any EA account info. So now what do we do? What e-mail is the Cerberus Network attached to through EA? I turned off the Auto Login to try and prompt the stupid game to tell me possibly but that didn't help. Any help?

you can do either, the instructions tell you both methods on the website.
if your account is already linked from another title it probably works that out.
