As has been mentioned, Shepard's a Marine. Marines don't mince. :)

That said, some Marines do dance. Shep could use some better dance moves than the Og the Caveman impression she does in ME2.

As for the limpy-stompy walk, did anyone else pay close attention to the reconstruction scene at the beginning of the game? Nearly every bone in Shepard's body was broken. One leg was broken in about five places, the other was so badly shattered that the bones were mostly just *gone*. I think the limp is realistic. Yes, medical technology is sufficiently advanced that she could be rebuilt, but we did see that rebuilding shattered bones involved splicing in chunks of metal.

Shattered / rebuilt body + combat armor + big ol' geth-kicker boots = limp-stomp, limp-stomp, limp-stomp. :)

To me it's like she's limping. I actually thought at first that it may be a side-effect of her re-creation.

What's the point of playing as FemShep anyway? If you're like me, you don't want a boner throughout the entire game.

I thought it was a limp, Male shep changes too.

There is a price to pay for being a hero. Just ask Zaeed.

Well, he wasn't exactly a hero. But I guess being shot in the face must count for something.

I didn't really notice her being any different in the first game. Females in BW games use the same rigging as the males, that's why all the animations, walking, talking, shooting everything are all the same as the males. It is also what makes the models look all weird with things like the giraffe necks and weird arm/shoulder problems. The models are just skinny males with boobs most of the time.

And yes, DA:O was the exact same way, like the first time you walk into Ostagar with Duncan and your female Warden comes stumbling in like a caveman.

ME3 should have the option of making femshep wear heels! And for maleshep too for those so inclined.

On a slightly unrelated note, how are people getting custom avatars?

At the end of ME1 Shepard had half a "hand" of Sovereign crashing down on top of him/her. When walking out of the wreckage, (s)he has a distict limp. I guess that injury never healed properly and then Wilson came around and refurbished the ex-Shepard, to just-before-failure state, limp and all

I hated her dancing, but I had no trouble with the femShep walking. She walks the way someone carrying 30 pounds of weaponry and armor has to walk. Since I've never played a manShep, I didn't know that was the same animation. Don't really care....

The head thing is a targeting problem... the game engine stays locked on to the last focus for too long; if you start moving before focus is unlocked, her head swings back to it. Stop moving for a few seconds and it will correct itself. I don't know how that made it through beta-playtesting, to be honest.

Have you played as femshep and make her walk holding down the control button?

Playing on the Xbox version, I lack a control button.

That said, I have no issues with femShep's walk.

Hell, I didn't even know it was possible to walk. Why would I be walking around? I'm a busy commander with an entire universe to save. For me, it's sprint, pole-vault or nothing.

Seriously guys. There are a thousand things that need fixing before this.

If she did have a limp, why does Shep walk normally in cutscenes?
