The Lord of the Rings song must have cost a pretty penny.
That is a song from the Battle for Middle Earth game and if I remember right, EA has the trademark law on it. So they can use it for free.

Would be a bit weird if i imported my character and Oghren was somehow alive..
Leliana/Morrigan/Zevran/Shale/Loghain would be better than a red headed drunk dwarf who obsessed over a his wife who turned out to prefer other women over him, and who can blame her when you have a drunktard like Oghren as your husband

It's too short, gives no real information except the date it's going to be released, and does very little to get me motivated to go the the store and buy this game, much less pre-order.
When I saw the CGI trailer for the Urn of Sacred Ashes it gave me goosebumps....I went to Best Buy to get the game the next day. I can't see anyone rushing out the door with their wallets biased on this Awaking trailer.
So comeon already, it's a teaser; If you like the game (and I for one do), all these little tidbits don't really matter; when the new stuff comes out I will get them, period.

Do you guys also think that the respec option will unlimited and/or available to companions and not just the warden? If so, it might not matter what spec Anders is.
Last question, IF Oghren is the returning companion, then do you guys think it's safe to say the 5 remaing companions will be 1 warrior, 2 mages and 2 rogues?

Nobody EVER considers Duncan..why is that?We don't have proof he's dead. hehehe
Well, for ME Duncan was never ever a ''old favorite'' nor was he some sort of companion, to say it bluntly, he was that guy who forced me to join the grey wardens, the fool who went willingly on a suicide mission and he only served a very minor role at the beginning of the game.
I would be hugely disappointed if hes the one.
We don't know WHOSE favorite they are talking about right? Bioware can't choose from eleventy billion different opinions on who the old favorite is...so I am SPECULATING its none of the above..and matter of fact I still think its Duncan.
Hence the Awakening title..not only for the "talking darkspawn" but what I am referring to.
They can't possibly choose someone's personal favorite, that will come down to more warring on these forums.
People going yeehaw they picked mine I am special...people going they didn't pick mine..why Bioware why???
I think my guess may be closer to the target.

Playing this game with fans on who is returning is rather childish and only causes hate threads/flame wars.
I really cannot be bothered to get involved in the whose is returning "i wonder" debates anymore. You cannot blame fan reaction/over-reaction for that, you lit the match to fuel hype with threads such as this.

Who is returning, I indeed can't say. Oh noes, the suspense.
If it is truly Oghren as most suspect, it should be officially confirmed which goes to further my point on the marketing ploy used above.

Unless Awakening is a much more significant expansion than it seems to be, I think they've overpriced it. DAO is a great game but I won't be getting Awakening til the price drops pretty significantly.
If the expansion is 20 hours long for one playthrough then I think that the price is right. After all, the joy of this sort of game is playing through it multiple times to see different outcomes. Playing through once as your character and once as the Orlesian character would be the minimum.

Thats true..I see it as a marketing ploy very definitely.
As for those who hope it is Ohgren, Morrigan, Leiliana..or whomever.
If it turns out its not..they are going to be greatly disappointed..aren't they? Officially confirming who it is..would then of course be a rather large spoiler, and we know how some react to spoilers..they get a little teed off. Heh.

I hope the returning character is Oghren, he was great comic relief and like someone else said, he did have less character development than the others so giving him more focus in the expansion can fix that. Also I think anyone who expects to see Morrigan again before Dragon Age 2 is a bit foolish. If the expansion is 20 hours long for one playthrough then I think that the price is right. Even playing it twice at say....30 hours or so, definitely worth my investment, but I know I'll probably do more than two just to make sure I get whatever extras there are in the way of side quests and or achievements.

and I have a far more sinister thought on Duncan, and all the Grey Wardens that go into the Deep Roads for that last time. What if they turn to Darkspawn? and not the run of them mill Hurlock, Genlock, Ogre kind. but the new talking ones? what if Duncan or some other fallen Warden is the talking darkspawn seen in the trailer? Imagine that as your future, not only 30 years, but if you are not destroyed you become that which you have fought for most of your life? Afterall, think of say Ruck. He lived alone in the Deep Roads for 5 years, and we are talking a smith, not a warrior. And the darkspawn ignored him, because he stayed in the shadows and fed on the flesh of the Darkspawn, thereby consuming the taint. Now after 30 some years the nightmares get worse and you are drawn to the Deep Roads. Supposedly to die fighting the Darkspawn, but what if at that point the Darkspawn see you as one of their own?
What does 30 years of living with the taint do to you mentally and physically?
but this is just my twisted thought.

I do not think that the companion will be Duncan, have a feeling it will be Dog. especially since in RtO if you missed dog the previous time can get him there as well? makes you belive that they want you to HAVE Dog.
