I was totally chocked that your squad doesn't have any armor when they go on missions. Sure, you don't have to be able to customize them, but atleast have them wear an armor.

For the Cerberus operatives, they could wear a Cerberus standard armor, and so on. Seeing them run around in clothes, and be able to take so much more damage than you can in your full armor really feels wrong.

So, basically, give all operatives an armor that they use on missions, any armor.

As a bonus, I think that when you do the loyalty quest, Garrus and Legion should get repaired :)

Well this is a good suggestion but IMO it would take away the independent character of the crew. The thing that bioware was trying to get at in the Mass Effects is BECOMING Shepard. Being able to customize your team would kinda take away from the "personal" feeling you get from playing the game =]

Yeah but I didn't say customize, just that they wear any standard armor when going on missions. It really feels wrong for them to be running without it as it stands now.

Ehh... a lot of the characters wouldn't look right in armor. I'd rather they keep their unique designs.

Not everyone uses, likes, or is skilled enough to wear armor.

I think Garrus should be repaired by the ship's upgraded medical bay if you buy it.

Anyone can wear a damn armor, especially the people on your crew. It's silly that they run around in their casual clothes, being operatives for Cerberus and being your general combat characters.

The only time I would like them to wear some kind of Armor is on the collector ship. When you first walk off the shuttle you are exposed to the vacuum of space and Miranda still has her tight outfit and just a O2 mask. That aint gonna protect against the vacuum of space.

I wish you could customize everyones armor. But the game play is a step up and i think it will be longer and more intense. Agree with you though.

I find it hard to Iimagine characters like Samara and Thane wearing big bulky armor or even the slim onesies that some of Shepard's teammates wore in the first game.

IMO they could have at least let us change the colors ourselves since the only character who actually gets a different outfit (and not just a pallet swap) is Jack.

Samara doesn't have to wear armor, but she could at least wear a bra.

Those things have drifted awfully low in her old age :(

Combat missions are really different from assassinations in a city or general policing in one. I'm fine with them not wearing armor in the Citadel, but when they go into combat missions on an unknown planet, they should definately gear up.

One of the mercs in Miranda's loyalty mission makes fun of her for this exact reason, or so I hear.

Miranda, Jacob, Thane, SuZe, and Samara are the only characters that look like theyre in civilian clothing.
Tali, Garrus, Grunt, Mordin, and Legion are all in hardsuits.

....did a lightbulb appear over your head yet?
All the biotics don't need hardsuits because their natural barriers protect them.

The problem with having armor for all your characters is that they all have to fit the coocki cutter body type. Think back to ME1. Liara and Ashley had the same exact body with different heads so they could use human armor. Kaiden and MShep had the same setup. All Human males had the same body type and all the females had the same body type.

Same goes with aliens.

The advantage to no longer having a party member equipable armor system is that you can give all the party members unique looks. (ex, Miranda's *ahem* assets, and Garrus scarred armor.)

If you wanted new armor for all the characters that would require creating unique models for each set. The new models would take up a hell of alot of room.

So is an adept, vanguard and sentinel Shepard, but still wears armor, and so does every other biotic enemy in the game. So, that doesnt' really hold.

Nah, the characters involved are all humanoids anyway, and in a combat mission you're not going to go around admiring the hot bodies of your female crew anyhow.

Humanoid yes, but they all have uniquley modeled bodies, which would require unigley modeled armors.

Not at all, if anything just a scale up or down in size. And really, if you consider ME1 there was many different armors, sure they had the same general shape, there was many designs of them. Now, in a sequel, you wouldn't expect them to dumb down, but upgrade, now, make 4-5 armor models for your crew wouldn't really entail all that much work. Or do you honestly think so?

Shepard is an N7 marine.
And who cares about generic enemies. They all look the same.

Hmm, I see your point. I think it would take a bit of work and would need to be a DLC, but I don't see it as high on Bioware's priority list.
