Hi, i recently just got to the part where youre in the briefing room and the IFF derleict reaper mission appears, and you are asked whether to go right away or not. I decided not too as i wasnt sure whether that would force me into end game mode or not.

I found out it didnt, but i also found out that although you can still do side missions or even loyalty missions after completing  it and getting Legion ( whom i really want) that there is pernalites for not going to the collectors sooner. As in, i read a number of people said that squad members will die if you take too long to head to the end game.

Is this true? The reason i ask is is that i really want to use legion in my sidequests and stuff, before end game, and seeign as you get him late in the game, i planend on doing the derelict reaper, and then completign the 11 or so loyalty quests i havetn completed yet, allowing him to be on my team as well as seeign him in more cutscenes.

But, if there is a pernalty for this, i wont..i just wanetd to know if it is true, as well as if it is random on who gets killed or not as a penalty.

My tali question is, in order to romance her, shoudl i do her loyalty mission earleir then the others, that way more time for dialogue, or does it not really matter?

Thanks alot for any ifno given, i appreciate it, loving this game so far.

I don't think the timing really matters... I haven't completed it again so I don't know for sure, but it seemed that the people you see getting saved were meant to be saved, and then when you get back to the normandy everyone you didn't see get saved are magically there again

i dont think the timing really matters.  course, i did all the loyalty quests as soon as i had the chance.  just make sure that before you head into the omega 4 really after the collectors, you have reached the point in the conversation with tali where she says that she will find a way to make it happen.

In terms of saving your crew, yes the longer you take the more of them die. I know there's enough time to do Legion's loyalty and then doing the final mission, but I hear there's even enough time for 1, maybe even 2 more after that. I think it's so you could do both Legion's loyalty and Tali's loyalty while bringing Legion along for the ride without half your crew dieing in the hands of the Collectors.

sorry just wanted to clarify.
When you say the longer you wait, youre refferring to when they get kidnapped correct? But..then who exactly gets kidnapped, because as i presume legion isnt if you can still use him for side missions? Because if i plan it , since you say there may be time for his sidequest as well as maybe one more, that means i could possibly bring him along for talis loyalty mission correct? Which i heard brings weird convos because of the geth

..sorry if im misunderstanding, basically youre saying after the derlict reaper, crew members are kidnapped? Is it the whoel crew?

All the squadmates are in the shuttle with you when they get kidnapped, so its just the on ship staff like the cook, Kelly, and all the redshirts that are inevitably killed/kidnapped/eaten/facehugged in these situations.

All of the crew, none of your squad members. Well, Joker is left on board. And I've managed to get Legion, do Tali and Legion's loyalty, then endgame, without losing anyone. Don't know about if you do another mission.

..ohhhh okay so its crew members and not squad mates that get kidnapped

So how then does delaying saving them affect your squad mates potential health, wouldn't it be crew members that get killed as a result and not squad mates, because if that's the casethen id much rather save some loyalty missions for after the reaper and use legion more then save some of the crew ..although ill miss them

does joker get kidnapped as well? can he die?

so by not lose anyone you mean not lose kelly, the cook..or do you mean squad mates? is the amount of time for saving the crew affect the survival of the squad at all

As well..a little off topic but..did you romance tali? I'm asking because you did her side quest after the reaper, and i wanted to romance her, so i wondered if i would have to do her side quest earlier in the game to make it work, or if it doesn't matter.

sorry for double post by the way
