As title says, is there any way to remove DLC from Mass Effect 2 (PC)? I recently housed a friend of mine the last two days who for some unknown reason absolutly needed to play the game. Seeing as I already had it installed on my computer I told him to just copy his save to a USB instead of lugging his computer over. Well, while he was here he installed some pre-order bonus crap that I didn't have.  Now every time I try to log into the network I get this popup telling me I am not authorized to use this content (or something like that).

I mean I can play the game fine and everything so no worries there, its just more of an anoyance issue.

I don't know how safe this is or if this will affect your saves but you can try:



Go to C:\\Program Files\\Mass Effect 2\\ and look for a folder called DLC inside one of the other directories (I forgot what the exact path is, I will edit this post when I get home). Delete the appropriate folders for the DLC you do not want.

This works. I had the same issue and just deleted the DLC file in question and the notification that it wasn't registered vanished. So far as I can see, no damage done.

but i have another problem with my savegame

i can't use it

it show me a message telling me ( you can't use the is save game cause there is a contents lose .(crash of Normandy and Zaeed) or something like



anybody can help me ? cuz if i lose my savegame i'll remove mass effect Ô_ô

lol just reinstall the crashsite and zaeen content. maybe you deleted them too.

If you've already started a new game with the DLC installed then I'm don't think there's any way to play that game with the DLC uninstalled sadly (since there's DLC data stored in the save files or some-such I assume).

if i have the original mass effect 2 copy,i get 5 free DLCs(zaed,cerberus arc projector,cerberus weapon and armor,firewalker and normandy crash site)and i wanna play overlord,kasumi and that ****...but it won't let me!if i wanna play i can't log in to cerberus network and i wanna be logged in!has someone a sollution???

Thanks alot, had the exact same problem and removing the offending DLC got rid of the authorized pop-up.

HEY EVERYONE !!!



I instaled Mass Effect 1 and when i run it, it gives me an error message saying "Failed to find default engine .ini file to retrieve My Documents subdirectory to use. Force quitting."



anyone know how to fix such a problem?
