 Good evening ladies and gentlemen.

Since I'm at work and looking up all this ME2 stuff, I got overly curious regarding a few things.  First off, where the hell is the M-76 Revenant Machine Gun located?

Also, I read that the Geth assault rifle is located where you save Tali?  (Oh Tali, Tali.)  I can't imagine that I missed it, and if that is the case can I return to that planet and retrieve it?

Thanks for the help folks.  Go easy on my first post!

Geth AR is only a scan for weapon upgrades.

Not a new weapon.

Ahh, that would make more sense. In that case, just how many actual assault rifles are there in-game? I have the original, the vindicator burst, and then there's this revenant that I'm looking forward to but haven't found yet. Hence my curiosity.

There IS a geth pulse rifle, but you need to be on hardcore mode to grab it

Ok, so to clarify, the Revenant is on the Collector ship (which I understand is at some point later in the game) and I can only obtain the Geth rifle on hardcore difficulty or higher?

On that note, is that assault rifle recommended for a soldier, or perhaps the sniper rifle? I do love sniping. (Knew I should've picked up my adept..keep regretting it.)

I appreciate all the help folks.

For the Solldier, BOTH are recomended... why would you choose when you can easily use both?

Oh...you mean the advanced training weapon....nevermind.

Wrong. If you play on Hardcore/Insanity (for that mission) you get the Geth Pulse Rifle where you meet Tali

The Revenant is on the Collector's Ship (you can't miss it, but it sucks)

Small piece of advice; unless you really don't care about spoilers, I'd stay away from this forums 'til after you beat the game for the first time; many of the posts here are chock FULL of spoilers.

I believe you can only get the Revenant if you're a soldier, which is why I'm starting anew as a soldier just to get it.

As for Adept sniping, the Incisor is a really good rifle for Adepts, if it's available to you. Adepts often have trouble dealing with shields, and Incisor is specifically anti-sheild.
