Yeah, sound cut out for me as well, and no dialogue options came up.
Y'know, I love these games, I really do, but BioWare games are the buggiest, glitchiest, most unpolished games I have ever played. You'd think with all the complaints people had about the first ME's issues, they;d be extra careful with this one. So I guess it's a trade-off? Instead of constant texture pop-in, we now have to deal with glitchy cinematics?...
Have you played the Fallout series? Or Oblivion?
Yes, and neither have given me near as much trouble as BioWare games.
....Srsly? I've got both Kotors, ME, ME2 from Bioware. Total bugs from those four games equaled, MAYBE Fallout. Oblivion was whole 'nother mess.
I had to install numerous mods that myself and others made just to fix half the crap in FO3.
First of all, KotOR 2 wasn't a BioWare game.
Now, on to the other games you listed . . .
Oblivion hasn't given me much trouble at all. Maybe one broken quest Visually, never jittered, had laggy textures or sound issues. Fallout 3 was just a crappy game, but no technical issues, really. Everything went smoothly. Of course, I played the console versions of those games, not the PC versions, so maybe that had some bearing on it? You'd think the PC versions would run better, though.
On the other hand, there is Mass Effect 1, 2 and Dragon Age. The first ME suffered from all kinds of visual hiccups that have never been fixed, in patches or otherwise, several glitches that hinder the gameplay experience at times, even going as far as causing the player to reset the game. Dragon Age was pretty clean for the most part, at least during my experience with it, but Mass Effect 2 now has the worst issues thus far. Absolutely terrible sound issues that include entire sound dropout on more than one occasion, dialogue either canceling itself out or becoming muted completely (Can't tell you how many times I was happy I chose to include subtitles. Otherwise I would have missed a lot of the storyline!), broken quests, missing dialogue options, an inaccurate autosave feature, incorrect ME 1 carryover (the Conrad Verner issue everybody seems to be having), etc.
I'm honestly not trying to ****, here, but these games are so GREAT in every other aspect, I just wish they would run smoothly as promised. Is that too much to ask?
