On XP, using Steam, my .dazip files where located in "C:\\\\Documents and Settings\\\\All Users\\\\Application Data\\\\BioWare\\\\Dragon Age\\\\DAUpdater\\\\Data". If they're not there, do a disk search by opening My Computer, pressing Control-F, and checking both "Search hidden files and folders" and "Search subfolders" under the "more advanced options" header.
Edit: Disregard the first part above. For my situation at least, the installed DLC is stored in your documents folder(Not even the folder above, but another Bioware folder in your user's My Documents folder.) on that same drive. You'll end up with less free space after the installation than before. I guess you could apply that method to the AddIns folder itself as well, moving it to another drive any time you're not playing the game.
Is it possible to change where the game expects to find the AddIns folder, or is there hope of the folder being moved to where the game was actually installed in a later patch? Having a gigabyte of my OS partition eaten up by expansions to a game installed on a different drive is kind of unexpected.

Good god why cant game companies just allow PC users to DL the content from a server/ftp site manually without having to use their updater service? I mean really, let us do that and just have us enter a serial number when we install, like bioware did for NWN DLC.

Good god, why cant game companies just allow us pc users to manually DL the content from a sever/FTP site, install it and enter the serial number during installation for varification purposes? seriously bioware, the DLC from NWN that was sooooooo much easier than going through all this.

experimenting with some of the tweaks here and on other forums I managed to get warden's keep to start DLing. I deleted the offers and manifest xml files and offers folders. then i manually started the DAUpdater from the c:/program files/Dragon Age/bin_ship folder, then started dragon age, wiped the DL cache, logged in to my profile and in the game, so far DL is working.

Being pc and toolset challenged I am not sure I can find where all that stuff is but I will try. Thank you for your response and if I get it fixed I will be sure to post here.

Delete the manifest.xml and offers.xml files from My Document\\\\Bioware\\\\Dragon Age\\\\Settings
Click the start menu, go to run and type in "net stop DAUpdaterSvc"
Manually start the DAUpdate.exe from the Program Files\\\\Dragon Age\\\\bin_ship folder
Start the Dragon Age launcher, click Configure and click on Repair. Clear the DL cache and open firewall access.
Open your web browser, log into your account on here and check your profile to make sure your DLC is activated/paid for.
Launch the game and log in to your account in the game.
Check your DL status and grab a nice stiff drink.
Hopefully, it will be DLing.
This next bit will probably help a lot of peeps:
If it doesn't install exit the game, go to c:\\\\Documents and Settings\\\\All Users
Click on Tools\\\\Folder Options...
In the dialogue box click on the View tab and make sure the "Show hidden files and folders" radio button is selected. Click Ok.
Now, run the DAUpdater.exe manually from the Program Files\\\\Dragon Age\\\\bin_ship folder
In the updater, click Search of DAZIP and go to c:\\\\Documents and Settings\\\\All Users\\\\Application Data\\\\Bioware\\\\Dragon Age\\\\DAUpdater\\\\Data and select the appropriate file that is not installing, follow the directions.
After all this typing I really hope this works for you man...and I hope you are running XP.

Earlier today I had bought Wardens keep, after i was 1/4 way through with a char, wasn't authorizing correctly so I had to reinstall the game, hence my issue that I corrected with the solution above. also with wardens keep and stone prisoner, i just put on Empire and Jedi, grabbed a bottle of scotch, came back later and it was all good. If you try everything on this thread and others, just manually start the updater (as described above), then the game, go to sleep, go for a run, watch a movie, whatever, and check it after a few hrs, thats the last thing i can think of.
ya know, despite the problems this game is awesome, its the awesome story of BG/NWN+amazing battles of diablo+epic scope of WoW=awesome

First off, Im running Vista 64bit.
Did this First.
Delete the manifest.xml and offers.xml files from My Document\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Bioware\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Dragon Age\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Settings
Click the start menu, go to run and type in "net stop DAUpdaterSvr
Start the Dragon Age launcher, click Configure and click on Repair. Clear the DL cache and open firewall access..
Launch the game and log in to your account in the game.
Without going into the DLC I launched the game, Played 2 secs, And a Screen should popup, Asking to install your DLC, Say yes, But Keep playing, I did this for all my DLC, And now its all installed and running great.
Like I said, When installing, KEEP PLAYING, Or it might freeze up again.
Hope this helps
And thanks to the members for the top half of the instructions
