Alright a couple of questions.

What did you think of the fight?
What difficulty are you playing?
Did you feel the battle was tough?
What tactics did you use?

I thought the fight was amazing and way more adventurous than fighting them in the first game. So far this was indeed my favorite part and I haven't beat anything past it yet.

I'm playing on insane and thought the fight was pretty tought until I found out a good way to take him down. I didn't try switching th difficulty to see how much of a difference it was, but it was pretty hard.

This is what I did. Before he pops up I charge my heavy weapon can't remember the name of it, but its the one with the Biohazard symbol on it. Before it pops up put your party members on the end of the little plaform as if they were coming up the stairs. Once it pops up shoot him then it should be half health. Run behind the cement colum and shoot at him with just about any weapon. After he goes to the other side place your party on the other side at the top of the stairs and hide behind the colum. At this point you should notice the Maw has no interest in your party and they will continue to shoot it without being hurt. So when ever the Thresher moves move your party to a good point to shoot at it from. While taking cover I helped my team as much as I could by shooting with my AR to cause extra damage, so with 2:00 minutes to spare it was dead.

So what did you guys do?

1) Thought it was fun

2) First run-through was on easy for Storyline

3)It was until I got my tactic down

4) M490 Blackstorm until out of ammo and then Assault Rifle with Incindeary rounds tll dead

Definitely an epic moment in the game. I've only done it on normal so far, but I should be reaching it soon on my Insanity playthrough so guess I'll find out how much harder it is.



My strat the first time around was Blackstorm until it was out of ammo and just fill it full of Inferno Rounds till it finally dropped. Not too difficult on Normal.

I can't vouch for Insanity, but I know on my play through it was pretty damn simple to beat... just a matter of always strafing... it's venom attack will never hit you...

Insanity thresher maw is insane...which should be apparent.





In fact everything but the tutorial is pretty insane on insanity.



Like the fight though...like most of the bosses on insanity, lots of strategy involved, just running in guns blazing will get you killed faster than a fat kid can eat.
