I had this window pop up when visiting the BioWare points website to check it out (the site, that is). It seems not that the security certificate has expired, but rather that my browser is telling me it doesn't recognise who is issuing it, and is warning me, therefore, that this could be a security problem. I'm using Firefox 2.0. This might just be something on my end but I thought it might be worth mentioning.
Also, for security purposes, BioWare has implemented the password request when going to that website. However, it didn't ask me for it the second time I visited the site.

The certificate request you see there is for an analytics plugin used for reporting. You shouldn't see that normally, I'm willing to bet it's due to using FF 2. I'll look into this on our end.
The second time, were you passed through into the checkout process? That is how it should work, as your session is secured through social.bioware.com.

Good to know.

When I first went to the points website, I entered the requested password, then used the back button on the browser, and then went to the points site through the menu here again. That's why I wasn't sure if it was meant to ask me for the password again or not, as it didn't.
I can't go any further on the points site than that though, as I'll be playing Dragon Age on an upgraded computer, so I'm not looking into actually buying any of that at this stage.

That behavior is as designed. Once you had a valid session you were secured already.
