I have just beat ME2 and I was wondering what file I need to save for an import to ME3 when it comes out. I would like to save it some place safe incase something unforseen happens to my computer over the next 2 years(or sooner...whenever ME3 comes out!)
Hopefully this hasn't been brought up before but I can't seem to find a search function:blink:? Thanks!

look for something like *drive*\\Users\\*username*\\Documents\\Bioware\\Mass Effect\\Save\\
(replace the double backslashes by single ones, *drive* should obviously be C: or whatever your system drive is, and *username* is your Windows-account.)
There should be one folder in there for every one of your playthroughs there (identifiable by chosen first name and class) and possibly one folder called ME1 if you imported save files from that game...
If you want to backup or keep it safe for, say a reinstall or a new PC, you should be fine by copying the specific folder and storing it somewhere safe. Considering the size of the files (I have 3 finished playthroughs, none of which exceeding 1MB) you could also just copy the whole 'Save' folder, should do the trick.
