Risible also means laughable..Rire ..is laugh in French.  And being that the British Isles were invaded so many times over the centuries..the English language is a mixture of many.   The example you quoted..was a french word...

The pc version WAS finished first and was DELAYED because of the crappy CONSOLE!

the pc Version is much better then the x box
in my eyes dragon age was ment to be played on the pc

and the pc always has te wait i already waited to long for this DLC !<_<

In fact it's a Latin word, closer to Spanish than French. The word is used in the media in UK, and it's part of the English words as in the Oxford Dictionary since ages... The basis of British English are in Latin and Saxon, since those were invasions which lasted longer.
