Anyone else thinks this is a slap to the face to the PC & PS3 costumers. Why don't they hold the 360 version until all 3 are ready? I mean come on, the console that back up the release was the 360. At least the title update will be available to them. If it were the other way around, and the whole messed happened because of the PC version, and then they release it on PC first, I bet you the other side would be pissed as well.

I'm a PC user and no I don't think that.  I think they fixed the 360 first, it was ready to go first and thats why.

What about the PC version, when the hell is that coming out?

Just the cryptic "next week" no specific date.

lol You PC flag wavers are funny. "We should get priority over consoles" Last I checked, PS3 games were the most espensive of the platforms coming in between $55 and $75 a pop, BEFORE DLC costs, and we're usually last on the list. I'm sure it's not at all in EA/BioWares financial interests to ****** us off when there's, we'll throw out 20 million PS3s out there. That's a lot of money even if they sell to only a quarter of the owners. That being said I think the games/DLC ought to be released at the same time for all. As for your points. chill out. Seriously, you'd have spent the same $5 whether you bought them last month or next month, you're not any further behind because of it.

@ Abriael_CG - We girls are cool too dude. Take a valium, get yourself some clearasil and go out on a nice date, you'll feel much better.

Look on the bright side, at least Victor is making an honest attempt at keeping you informed, even if you don't like the info. Most of the time, new DLC is a complete surprise for console games.

That's besides the point. PC should get priority over consoles simply because Bioware promised so when they delayed our version of the game 6 months to give console owners the chance to play it.  I would say that PC users waited plenty enough for your sake, wouldn't you say so?

As Alistair would say, "breaking promises to your customers is... bad".

Just a passing note: While I love the PS3 as a platform (more than the 360 as a matter of fact), it's the version of this game that sold the least. So I'm sure you'll understand that Sony isn't exactly clutching on Bioware's wallet.

Yes, girls are cool, but what does that have to do with this situation?

Awww, that's so cute! Using lines from the game, someone played way too much Dragon Age this month. No, I genuinely do not think you've any right to demand or expect that your platform be supported first on anything. If BioWare made that promise, I will agree it's a promise they shouldn't have made in the first place. My experience with the art is limited, but what I learned in Computer Sciences (which only 3 years ago in high school) it's a very.. unpredicable art and you can't plan for anything until the finished product is actually there and fully tested. Which is why I wasn't overly shocked when Victor said the release announcement could be made the same day it would be released. But back to my original point; I firmly believe that support should be released for all platforms at the same time. Why? Fairness? Not at all. It saves them the headache of forums like these and people that want the game for a particular platform can have it the first time (whereas I'll like buy this AGAIN for the PC)

As a matter of fact I didn't touch the game since the debacle of the 13. I'll pick it up again when I have RTO. Nit really eager to finish another playthrough and then having to reload it before the battle to get RTO done on it.

But back to my original point; I firmly believe that support should be released for all platforms at the same time.

Well, you might want to go tell that to most software houses out there that always release their game/updates for the PC last. For once one promised that the PC would have been the lead platform, as a refreshing change of pace. It'd be a good thing that they kept their promise.

Well, good for you. Personally, I feel that customer satisfaction is more important than dodging headaches. And customer satisfaction pretty much tends to crash and burn when promises are broken.

I'm honestly quite disappointed to hear that the 360 version has been prioritized over the PC version of RTO, in spite of what we were been told on the PC being the priority platform and in spite of the fact that with their little "early trigger pulling" Microsoft basically managed to steal themselves a little clandestine timed exclusive. But oh well, at the very least we got a tentative release frame, and it's better than nothing.

Though, I seriously hope the PC will go back to being the lead platform again after this issue. We waited 6 months additional time for the consoles versions to even exist, and we were promised we would have never waited again for consoles. With RTO that hasn't been the case.

Sigh.. feeling the same here. At least we have a more approximate release time frame to look forward to :/ I am NOT a fan of this multi-platform concept, seems to be way more hassle than it's worth.

I have to agree with Abrial on the PC promise thing. It sucks to be a PC Gamer lately. You either get a dodgy Console Port(Don't get me started on these!) or you have to wait 6 months(By then you already know how it plays cos your friends are ****holes) for it to be released on PC.

*shrug* I'm an idealist. I never said it ever worked out that way, I'm fully aware it does not. The operative word I think was 'should'. As for the broken promises, as I said, programming is an unpredictable art, and I will support you when I say that they shouldn't have made that promise if they weren't 100% thye could keep it. But then, I don't think they could have planned for whatever happened to the 360 (not being an XBOX fan I didn't pay much attention) and a friend confirms for me that the XBOX is simply easier to program, so this is why it was fixed first. And were it not for the fact that a number of XBOX users already had purchased the DLC they probably should have held it back until the PC was ready for honesty's sake.

Sigh! Hurry up & wait some more then. When did RtO become a limited time 360 exclusive? Just throwing that one out there.

Umh, you might not have followed the events. A lot of PC users already paid for the DLC when (on the 13th), Bioware told us that it would have been released "later today", so obviously people went and bought the points to get it.

Also, the 360 is the easiest to program for between the last generation consoles, for the simple reason that it's similar to a PC in it's architecture. The easiest platform to work on is actually the PC.

When microsoft "stole" it. And looks like now they're being rewarded for it lol. :bandit:

I have to agree this time with Abriael_CG. Why are PC gamers being screwed to wait longer than the xbox360 gamers?

No, honestly I didn't. I looked through a bunch of posts which could be equated to the words "I'm a retard" looking for two items. PS3 and a date. Didn't find one. But I got a small bit of the picture, at least enough to know it didn't concern me. Then the BioWare thingy alerted me this went up so I went and looked. And since I am having trouble sleeping tonight I get to have this wonderful (no sarcasm added) conversation with you! As for the points issue, as far as I know (not having bought DLC on a PC before) points are refundable if not usable on something else. You can't sue someone because you bought redeemable points. You CAN sue someone for offering you a product, selling you the product, and then taking away the product. Is that a concern? No idea, but if my memory serves, Americans learn the word 'sue' before they learn 'momma'. Or is that just Californians. Don't take me to seriously on that one I'm not sure

No one is talking about  lawsuits here. Simply enough, I was responding to your notion "Xbox users already bought it, so they did it first". As a matter of fact, we bought it as well. The difference is that once they applied the fix to the xbox problems (clear cache, reload save, bla bla bla), those xbox users were able to enjoy RtO since the 13th already.
PC users on the other hand got nothing to show for the money they paid. Now Bioware comes, and breaks their promise releasing RTO for xbox first, basically leaving PC users in the dust twice in a row. It's simply bad business practice.

Can't tell you mate, I don't sit at the big desk. What I can tell you is that it'll come eventually and based on the 2 badge under your portrait I assume you're playing ME2, so what's the rush? I played through DAO and downed the archdemon 4 times and did fine, I've no desire to do it again. But I'll pay the $5 to support a company that makes awesome freakin games, take the 30 minutes out of my busy schedule to do the DLC to fill my borderline obsessive need for completionism and shelve it. Maybe give it to the kid across the street. Which as a point of interest and not wanting to navigate this flash ridden site on my cell, is the expansion it's own disc-based program or massive DLC?

I'm playing a lot of things (ME2, Forza 3, AC2's new DLC, Demon's Souls, Magna Carta 2...), but as I said, it's a matter of principle. I like the software houses I support (quite a lot in Bioware's case) to keep their promises.

Also, I like DA:O much more than ME2, so I'd rather play RtO at the moment than a shooter, with an awesome story, mind you, but still a shooter :D
