Well basically I love Mass Effect and I was planning to buy mass effect 2 in a couple of days but... I may have run in to a problem. I checked the computer requirements with "Can Your Run It?" and found that my computer has all the minimum and recomended requirements but my CPU is Intel® Core™2 CPU 6400 @ 2.13GHz but it is recomended that I have  2.6 GHz Core 2 Duo Intel or equivalent AMD.

SOOOOOO does this mean I am screwed? Does this mean I have to turn down the graphics till everyone looks like shapeless blobs? Does it mean the framerate will suck so bad that it seems to be a slide show?

PLEASE SOMEONE PUT MY TROUBLED MIND TO REST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Posted Image

no mate. I have a 2.4 dual core intel and I'm playing with everything on high in 1920 by 1200 without a problem. mind you, I have 4 gigs of ram and a 4870 ati card with 512 ram. the card helps out a lot.

its always a risk when you dont match the min-spec, but based on yoru setup you should be able to play the game just fine.

just make sure, however, that your OS is recognizing both of your dual cores (if you look around the forums, youll see a few people with dual core machines that the OS isnt recognizing - and are thus running into issues.
