Despite having seen first hand the Reaper threat, and taking an almost Cerberus like view on the situation in the first game, he comes back in ME2 completely denying it. Very sad, since I liked Anderson's character.

Anderson is such a dick in this game. It is amusing to see him order Udina around though. The sad thing is that Anderson has become exactly what he was fighting against in the first game: An ignorant politician, who would rather ignore the Reaper threat and put the Galaxy at risk than do something about it.

For me he agreed entirely but knew he couldn't sway the rest of the Council =/

Ditto. He told me that he believed me about the reapers, except because of the lack of evidence couldn't sway the rest of the council. He was actually kind of nice to me...

No matter what they say to you it doesn't really affect the game in anyway lol, you can still tell people you're a spectre i think; it's just a lie when you say it lol.
It's not a lie if you got reinstated. However you aren't meant to say outside of the Terminus system per the agreement with the council.

Are you even sure about that?
Seriously, I have yet to encounter Anderson denying my claim on the Reaper threat.

If you killed of the council Anderson has infact the least amount of power since the other human councilmen dont want to listen to him. And they dont trust Shepard an inch

You, sir, are correct. Anderson says he believes you but can't sway the Council without concrete proof.
Also, getting your Spectre status back has no effect in this game but who's to say it won't impact ME3 in some unforeseen way?
