I'm pretty upset about the "test" at the beginning. it has been 3 years since I played ME1 and I really felt as groggy as shep did about the whole thing. however, i hate urbina and i didnt remember dfuring the "test" i actually did select anderson while playing. now the damn urbina is still there being an ass.

also, how can i search the forums? i dont see a search box.

Anderson is such a dick in this game. It is amusing to see him order Udina around though. The sad thing is that Anderson has become exactly what he was fighting against in the first game: An ignorant politician, who would rather ignore the Reaper threat and put the Galaxy at risk than do something about it.

Despite having seen first hand the Reaper threat, and taking an almost Cerberus like view on the situation in the first game, he comes back in ME2 completely denying it. Very sad, since I liked Anderson's character.

For me he agreed entirely but knew he couldn't sway the rest of the Council =/

No matter what they say to you it doesn't really affect the game in anyway lol, you can still tell people you're a spectre i think; it's just a lie when you say it lol.

Ditto. He told me that he believed me about the reapers, except because of the lack of evidence couldn't sway the rest of the council. He was actually kind of nice to me...

It's not a lie if you got reinstated. However you aren't meant to say outside of the Terminus system per the agreement with the council.

Are you even sure about that?

Seriously, I have yet to encounter Anderson denying my claim on the Reaper threat.

Erm... not me, OP. Perhaps you have a healthier take on videogames than I do. I played ME1 so much, especially right before ME2, trying to get my playthrough just right for import, that I can remember with agonizing clarity every decision I ever made.

Yeah, Anderson always believes. He just can't do anything about it.

Anderson has the most power if you saved the council. They trust both Anderson and Shep enough to actually take the time and listen to both of them. They still dismiss the Reapers but atleast they are willing reinstate Shepard as a Spectre, although symbolic it means that this council wants Shepard back when he is done with Cerberus.

If you killed of the council Anderson has infact the least amount of power since the other human councilmen dont want to listen to him. And they dont trust Shepard an inch

Anderson is extremly weak in ME2 which is a shame cause I liked him in ME1. As for the council I tell them to shove the specter status. They never liked my reports from ME1 and never believed me even with evidence only when Saren attacked did they actualy do anything then it was run away.

So I say screw the council and destroy the collector base as well.

You, sir, are correct. Anderson says he believes you but can't sway the Council without concrete proof.

Also, getting your Spectre status back has no effect in this game but who's to say it won't impact ME3 in some unforeseen way?
