Am I the only one that have noticed that the dwarves in DAO are rather "tall"?

If you compare them to other races in the CC you will notice that the dwarves almost reach the humans (Or elves, my memory fails me) chest. I dont know if it is just me, but other fantasy IP's usually portray dwarves as shorter than that, no?

What are your thoughts about this?

Personally, I like that the dwarves of DAO aren't "mainstream" (We already knew that their society and culture wasn't, now, it seems, they're appearance isn't either).

(Also got to add, dwarven females are really cute! Image IPB Never thought I would say such a thing...)

It's easy to get caught up in the more Tolkien'ish ways - we just have to come to terms with the fact that BioWare did their own thing here.

I did not mean to bash Bioware, I salute them for creating their "own" dwarves and greatly appreciate it!

It was just a curious detail I noticed and I would like to know what other people thought about it, if they enjoyed the "taller" dwarves or not.

Actually looking at that fact earlier would have made most of those "z0mg lol sex with a dwarf!!11"-threads obsolete. We won't need a ladder and "on the subject of the length of dwarves" i refer to JEbesh comment

I like them the way they are. Not too tall, not too small. Stout and compact. Can't wait to play my Lady Aeducan.

I dont' mean to be biased when I say this: These are the best looking dwarves I've seen in a game. The impression you get from the dwarf in Noble Armor is spot on.

No, no, they definitely mean length.

Of beards, I hope.

I'd have to agree.

All Dwarves have beards, don't they? And sing rousing songs and drink ale and smith things.
Right?

Female dwarves have overly long arms imo. Definitely a turn off for me. IF I ever bother to play through dwarf origins it's going to be a male dwarf.

I like the look of their dwarfs, they don't look like they walked out of the rock which is really different then a Tolkin or wow or whatever.

And new and different is good. Also is it just me or are the girl dwarfs in DOA for the first time ever don't just look like beardless men?

It's like they're half gorilla.

Still, female dwaf faces are too cute for me to resist playing one.

It's the most 'authentic' look I've seen yet.. the LOTRO dwarves should be ashamed of themselves.

There are girl dwarfs in Dead or Alive? I thought it was all Japanese girls with unrealistically bouncy boobies.

In fairness, some of the DoA girls are American.

Point taken. They still have unrealistically bouncy boobies, though.
