Any suggestions?  I've messed around with a few of the abilities and stuff, but deciding on a decisive build is difficult.

I know I'm definitely going to max my cloak and class skill (Probably go Agent, rather than Assassin...maybe)  But any other suggestions on what skills to max or take?  Or what bonus skill would be a good idea?

I took infiltrator, going to fill out cloak, go assassin, and I grabbed armor piercing rounds from my achievement. Thats what I'm thinking right now.

I've mostly ignored the ammo skills (I took Warp Ammo as a bonus talent and I grabbed R1 Disruptor for mechs/shields) and also ignored AI Hacking.

Agent (took Assassin Cloak though), Heavy Incin.

The ammo skills are pure pref.

Hmm...I noticed people seemed to not do AI-Hacking. Interesting choice. But yeah, I'm thinking Agent + Assassin Cloak so I can use it more often. I do hear good things about Warp Ammo too. Did you go Heavy Warp Ammo or Squad Warp Ammo?

I'm still in the middle of my first playthrough, but I can tell you that so far, I have Cloaking and Operative maxed. Cloaking became Enhanced Cloaking, and Operative became Assassin. I figured it was a good balance for me. As a bonus, I just recently gained shredder ammo, which requires the loyalty of Thane.

AI hacking is on the fence for me, I use Tali and Legion fairly often and they both have it, plus it has never won a battle for me.

I used a Respecialize to swap from Squad to Heavy. Most things are still dying fine, and it makes a big difference dealing with ASSUMING CONTROL spam.

I didn't really think that there was any effective way to maximize the talent's to do more dps. It's guided in a way where you can't really miss anything thing.

Yeah, I've noticed that people tend to go with either Agent/Assassin Cloak or Assassin/Enhanced Cloak, as the synergy matches up surprisingly well (Damage boost with short cooldown or Damage boost with longer duration).

I was thinking about Garrus's AP ammo, but then he's got it, I probably don't need it. XD

Not really trying to maximize so much as get a sense for what people like or find useful.  Like, I've heard good stories about people using AI-Hacking, but then other folks bring Legion or Tali along to mix things up, and therefore don't need the hacking skill.

Some people use Heavy Incinerate, whereas I've seen other folks who like the AoE evolution.

Warp Ammo does seem to be a popular choice among everyone though.

All I know is I'm ignoring AI Hacking and probably Incinerate too. I took Armor-Piercing Rounds as my bonus so that I'd have a good alternative to Disruptor Ammo for Organics and Armor. I'm currently level 10 with maxed out Assassin and 2 each in AP and Disruptor Ammo. Kinda leaning towards maxing both Ammo options before maxing Cloak, and then see what I have left for Incinerate. I'll probably pick up AR training ASAP since Pistols run out of ammo so quickly, and SMGs are pretty much junk in my experience.

Thoughts on best squad members? I'm thinking Garrus and Miranda. I want to make sure I have a bit of control in my party members since Infiltrator is pure damage, and I'd like to keep weapon upgrades to a minimum, so no Shotgun users or anything like that.

Well, Miranda's class Skill is nice for keeping the squad up and moving.  Also, you do know you can afford pretty much all the upgrades by the end of the game, right? >.>  No reason not to.

Also, I noticed that, with the way you're playing, is feels less like an Infiltrator and more like a soldier.  You seem to like the ammo powers a lot, and the AR.  Just an observation.

I agree, I do play it like a Soldier. I played Vanguard on my first playthrough, and had a pretty rough time since Biotics are underpowered and Shotguns are useless. It seems to me that Infil gives you the best mix of Escape (Cloak) and Damage (AR/Sniper). The Ammo powers are just the best way to increase your damage by far. So yea... you could say I'm playing an Infilsoldier.

As far as affording everything, I totally understand. I also know that mining planets is pretty much the worst part of the game and makes me want to cut my wrists. So the less of that I have to do, the better.

I wouldn't call Shotguns totally useless, can't tell you how many times Jacob saved my butt with his shotgun...but I know what you mean.  A lot of people go into Vanguard thinking "Wooo!  Falcon Punch!" and suddenly they wind up in waaaaayyy over their heads.

Heh, yeah, mining the planets is tedious.  I don't mind it though...I just need for Platinum and Eezo myself.  Such a pain to find.

Also, remember that the cloak also gives you a damage bonus (substantial bonus if you go with Assassin Cloak) and enemies totally ignore you.  So it comes in handy for offensive purposes as well.

I'm level 23 now, and with maxed disruptor ammo, assassination cloak, and Agent, The widow maker sniper and Slam because I don't normally run with biotics, Slam is up as soon as your done using it very fast recharge and kills anything without armor or a shield, a nice finisher after you strip the shields or armor. I shred through everything and finish them off with slam, the 50% more damage to armor sniper upgrade is a must, and the 50% more damage to head shots is to.Posted ImagePosted Image

See something shielded hit the cloak snipe it with the widow maker and hit it with a slam and its dead. I can take out the huge mechs with 2-3 shots depending if I got my cloak in, and its dead with a slam.
