Faulting application masseffect2.exe, version 1.0.1593.2, faulting module msvcr80.dll, version 8.0.50727.4053, fault address 0x0001500a.

Fault bucket 1672671101.

I get this EVERY time I play ME2. It is getting really annoying. I would like to think it is not not my pc, every other game I have plays perfect.

Any thoughts?

Bump, I get the same crash/error and it makes the game almost unplayable. Usually happens in combat, especially when using biotics.

I have updated DirectX and .Net framework 3.5, and I've installed every version of Visual C++ I can find, with no luck. I've tried windowed mode and lowering the graphics settings, still happens.

I have Vista x64, an AMD quad-core processor, ATI 4870x2 gpu, 8gb DDR2-800 RAM, and a Creative X-Fi PCI sound card. I've updated all my drivers and installed the ATI AA hotfix.

No other game I have owned has done this except Dragon Age, which gave me the exact same problem. I would really, really like a solution, I want to play these games but these crashes are making it impossible.

Also, I'd like to add that I've even tried a fresh OS install, and the problem still occurs. I've gone through every setting in my BIOS as well, just to be sure it wasn't something wrong with my PC. I've installed all Windows updates, I've tried disabling the sound card, using older ATI drivers... Nothing fixes it!

Please help!

I am having the same problem! Game was working fine then BAM! crashes every time I play it. I have patched the game, gotten updates for windows... hell even the expansion has not fixed it.

Has anyone figured it out? I'm not above a good 'ol clean install, but it gets dull after awhile! heh

This file is a part of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package.
Try to download and reinstall it from here: www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx.
