I just hope they get rid of scanning the planets in ME3 and find some other means of getting the resources that isn't so tedious and boring.

+1

Maybe they can find a way to actually make it FUN to gather resources instead of drudgery.  There are plenty of great ideas throughout the threads on this board.

I just shake my head every time I see this thread when coming into the board.  I hope it's a clue to the devs that if they need to sticky a thread on how to make some feature suck less, the feature sucks.

I've followed every tip for how to make scanning a better experience and it's still ridiculously tedious and sleep inducing.

I wasn't a big fan of the Mako but I wasn't forced into doing the Mako missions if I didn't want to; in ME2 I have no choice but to put up with scanning in order to upgrade the ship. They really should have made this optional and then gave us the ability to buy minerals if we didn't want to scan for them.

I can only hope that they will correct this either through DLC or in ME3 because it really takes away from the overall quality of the game.

Isn't there a site or a list of all the planets, the minerals found on them, and how much there is? I'm always looking for planets that are heavy in Platinum, so I would find it very helpful if there was just a list saying which planets have a lot of it.

This scanning system is a total and complete failure.

Image IPBHEHE, fell asleep myself many times while scanning, but it's not that bad since the game has been updated.
 Regards.

This is an unnecessary thread resurrection, especially since there's already a more current thread discussing planet scanning on the first page of the forum.
