I've been trying to dump ashley in favor of miranda and cant seem to do it  .  I was a dick to her at horizon and still the romance options for miranda never show up. ideas?

It's kinda forced upon you.

you should be able to romance Miranda regardless of you romancing someone else before. Its either a bug or you have not reached the point of the game where romancing is available, or maybe you pissed miranda off?

i think i have a bug...... since i did her side mission perfectly, kept visiting her after every mission afterward and got to listen to "I have a lot of work right now" and stared at a picture of ashley just before reaching the omega relay. wtf?

edit: Plus i sided with her vs jack so im confused

Sounds like a dialogue bug, happens sometimes. I know Dragon Age had one with Morrigan.

If you make a "wrong" choice in an earlier convo that can end your chances right there. Maybe you said something that she didnt really care for.

Although I've chosen Ashley over Kaidan in every playthough I've done.  Not really fond of the Carth character-type.

Ever since she shot Wrex in one my playthoughs (which I Fixed by quick loading) I never saved her again.  Always picked Kaiden.
