I figured it out. Since the first game I always wondered how after millenia of the reapers destroying civilazations, they never went extinct themselves. After the destroyed Reaper (IFF recovery mission), my doubts ceased. Other races before the present ones were able tho atleast kill one Reaper per-anhiliation. Reapers dont kill organics, they need them... err, us. The HUMAN-REAPER ABOMINATION (final boss) was the last piece of the puzzle. Reapers harvest organics to either implement more of themselves to become stronger, or create more Reapers. Seeing the ending, the second one is more likely. This is the truth, no doubt about it.

ME3 is gonna be some kick-ass war against the Reaper armada seen at the ending of the game approaching our GALAXY (Milky Way). I hope the ending is not taken from the choices of ME3, but from the entire ME trilogy.
Atleast a special ending for those who import all the way through ME1 to ME3. Either way, it better have the BIGGEST TWIST IN HISTORY AT THE END, YOU HEAR THAT BIOWARE & EA!!!!!!!!! DONT LET IT END WITH JUST SOME WAR AND THATS IT, I WANT A NEVER BEFORE DONE ENDING (like the possible end of our civilazation and/or human dominance across the galaxy, and it must end in PLANET EARTH).
                                                                                                       Got carried away, sorry.

How about this for a twist.

Ancient Humans were the race that created the Reapers. They did so because Mass Effect technology becomes incredibly dangerous to the fabric of the Universe that no civilisation can be allowed to advance beyond 50,000 years of accumulated technology - if life is not periodically reset the whole universe could implode.

How's about it turns out that it was all a scheme by Bill Gates's disembodied spirit to finally corner the software market? :P

That's a bad twist.

Because their tech has more than 50k years behind it. Also why the hell would it be Ancient Humans? :S

It'll all be about choices, it's their staple.

In ME3 the human race could possibly be annihilated, or you could successfully destroy the Reapers once and for all.

I blame bungie, for I saw that humans were the forerunners descendents at the end of the second game.

Stupid!!!

As it turns out, the Protheans were just regular humans in costumes fabricated to make sure everyone behaves themselves. In ME3 people will call them "Those We Do Not Speak Of".

What a twist!

The Rachni & Krogan should also have an impact, like both making an awesome army to take on the Reapers (geth included).

That did annoy me greatly. It's always too contrived.

Totally agreed, especially on the import front. Sure, one can just play ME3 *and* win, but with import file I want the experience to be SO much richer and full of different possibilities. Bioware, you can do this. (I wish I could help, but I'm not employed by this company, ha)

-Rachni
-Krogan
-Geth
-Quarian
-Council and Citadel Space races
-Alliance
-(reformed?) Cerberus
-assorted allies (whether through Paragon or Renegade sorts of actions)... this one is big, as it would make side missions SO much more worth it. What I'm seeing in ME2 just isn't cutting it.
-surviving squad from both ME1 and ME2. Only Liara is the constant with this, but the rest better not just be an effing cameo *PLEASE*

On the other end:

-Reaper technology, lol (even a huge pro-human can have an edge)

EDIT: Oh, and possibly Shadow Broker, and the Consort (even if just a meeting with her and she passes info to Shepard)?

"What if... what if it turns out they aren't terrorists, but they're actually werewolves... from the future. But what if Al-Qaeda turns out being the group terrorized, by aliens. How bout we make everyone think we were attacked by terrorists, but really, we're already dead"

What a twist!

Hmmm now my question is, if Krogan and Rachni are a valuable asset.... how? They would obviously be the major players in a ground war would they be key to battling husks? Are there still collectors? Or are there groundside Reapers? They no longer have the geth and I blew that base to hell and gone... what do they have left?

Really, what I'm looking for is not something 'new' (except for possibly visiting other important areas like the Turian homeworld and whatnot), but for ME3, the culmination of every decision and a lot of the optional missions taken up on throughout the series.

If this can be done, here is my wallet Bioware, you can take it all (LOL SYKE, but really, I'll spend over $150 on this and related DLC if this is done).

I'm thinking there will be news of not just human colonies, but even heavily populated Council worlds being attacked and much of the populace enslaved through one means or another. See, for as powerful  as the Reapers are, their huge advantage was disabling the Mass Relays to others (while using it themselves) and pummeling the galaxy system by system. Not having that, I'd imagine a slower, yet still horrible war happening.

No way the Council (I saved em, still have Spectre status) can ignore this one.

My thoughts on how ME3 is going to play out.

The Reapers want to kill all organic life, but keep humans alive for a short amount of time to create Human Reapers. Why? We killed one, and the Reapers now recognize the strength the human race has and want to add it to their army. Every Cycle, I believe the reapers not only kill, but seek out power and try to harness it for their own use just in case the next cycle gets tougher.

Now obviously the choices you make will carry over from ME1 all the way to ME3, from the smallest ones such as punching that one kid to trail the Turian, all teh way to re-writing the Geth and having a geth army, as well as a Krogan army under Wrex's name. The Krogan would serve as the main ground pounders of the war against Husks and whatever robots the Reapers might make to replace the collectors, while the Geth would serve as the main sabotage group fighting the Reapers from both space and ground, the main purpose to hack and gain intel while injecting viruses into the Reapers with the intel you gained in ME2.

The Quarians, if you helped Tali succeed against the trial, will be likely to help you and not try to reclaim the homeworld the Geth have taken, surving as engineers for the warships. Can anyone say "Beam me up, Tali!" Course, not beaming, but making sure that warships have enough power/armour/shields against the Reapers in space combat. Their marines may help, but probably on their own ships to retaliate from boarding parties.

The Alliance may help, depending on how you handled both the News casts from the Mass Effect games. I think I did fairly well, as I made her look like an idiot in the first one, and made her look like a heartless **** by naming all the ships that gave their lives. Also, I believe successfully getting all twenty dog tags while in Cerberus will show the Alliance you are still loyal to them, and will be more inclined to lean your way when a war breaks out.

If you hand over the collector ship to Cerberus, they will probably help you, but at a great cost. This is one of those helpers you want then, but regret it after the fact. Only time will tell if handing over the collector ship and not destroying it will have severe consequences. If you don't hand it over, I think they will still help, but they will not have as much power at their disposal to help you with.

Rachni are going to help, the entire race is forever indebted to you, and they will see it as an opportunity to make their entrance back into the commonwealth of Citadel space by assisting in eradicating the Reapers. A grand asset indeed, as now their only purpose in life is to build their people again. Preventing the Reapers not only helps Sheperd, but helps them live on in turn.

The Council won't help you at all. Face it, they would rather stand by their beliefs than admit a human was right until it's too late and the only option is to have the humans save their asses. It's true. They do not want to help you because they do not want to admit they are going to die.

The Turians/Asari will not help you unless the reapers come themselves.

That's my guesses on what will happen if you aid those people in ME1 and ME2 for the chain of events in ME3. Oh, and maybe the shadow broker, but I doubt it.
