Of course it does, are you dull? The whole point of continuation from Mass Effect 1 is that it does exactly that, continue on the choices you made. It's not a game-breaking bug, but it certainly matters.

are you going to cry about it?

Why would I, it's a game? So if you buy a brand new car, and the cigarette lighter doesn't work, you're just going to ignore it? I wouldn't.

To clarify, I bought the game for all the stories it contains, and if something's wrong with them, I'd like them fixed. Perhaps now it's easier for you to grasp the issue.

Its not game-breaking and I'm loving the game anyways, but its annoying, that's all.

I figured I probably wouldn't be alone and scrolled through a good dozen pages of the forum for a thread about this before posting, but saw no thread. So sorry for saying again something a lot of people already knew.

Just another witness here: Same thing.

Not only did I NOT pull a gun on him in the game I brought over from ME1. I NEVER drew a pistol on Conrad in any game of ME1 I played.

Yeah, I'm an insufferable Mama's boy Paragon player. I got every achievement in ME1 but one. Never got the "Renegade" award. Never even got close.

Someone started up a thread about this issue in the PC Tech Support forum. Not as many replies as this thread, but maybe head over and acknowledge having the issue in that section of the forums too. Yeah, it's not the biggest problem in the world by any means, but I agree that with a game in which stories and decisions play such a large part, it is nice to see your choices reacted upon correctly.

Ever heard the saying "If you dont have anything nice to say, dont say anything at all?
Its an obvious bug/glitch, and when you tried to make sure your ME1 savegame was as perfect as possible before ME2 it does matter, even if its just fluff.

Here's an angle for you. It matters to someone other than yourself. So, consider this, why does it matter to YOU that it matters to someone else?

Bump! Same issue here. Literally only dealt with Conrad the other day in my ME1 playthrough, he agreed to go home and spend time with his family.

So to balance things out, I shot him in the foot, but it would be nice if this is fixed for my next playthough!

i can confirm that this happens regardless of playthrough. my Renegade shep has renegade conrad, and my paragon shep has renegade conrad. so yea its either a bug or ment to be this way

Same thing happened to me. He probably had memory issues or.... When Shep was gone he went insane because he thought you abandoned him and he started hating you even more everyday that went by...until he finally cracked. Just maybe....

Agreed, Conrad tells me I pulled the gun on him when I certainly didn't in the first game.

you do pull a gun on conrad as a paragon the third time you meet him if i remember correctly.

i ve played mass effect 1 , seven times all paragon, i know its sad but i clearly rembember never pulling a gun on him at all, even on my last playthrough it never happened,  and my memory was verry refreshed from all the other playthroughs, this is obviosly an in game screw up, a strange one seeing this is CONRAND VERNER!

That confused me as well. My Shepard was very paragon to him. Still, she's kind of a mixture of paragon and renegade anyway, so it didn't bother me all that much.

Besides, Conrad Verner is quite sexy as a pseudo-badboy. Until he starts talking about his wife buying him the tickets to get to Illium. ARGH, Conrad! Why are you so adorkably awesome?

Iremember threads about this before, and I heard that origionally, if you had paragoned Conrad in ME1, he didn't reappear at all in ME2, but instead sent you an email thanking Shep for helping him see sense. Now obviously, if you were a fan of Conrad (which I am) and you were nice to him in ME1 only to have this result in his absence from ME2, then that might have been annoying (I know: consequence. I'm just saying this is the type of thing that test groups bring to light) and so they decided to make the Conrad mission appear in ME2 for people who played 'The Fan' to conclusion in ME1 either way. So the gun thing is less a bug, more a result of them changing their origional plans for Conrad. It's likely that they hadn't recorded other dialogue and didn't want to waste time turning a small fix into a rewrite. Anyway, I apologise, but I can't remember the thread details....

Besides, Conrad is all kinds of crazy. You could read the gun thing as his screwed up perception of reality.

I really hope there is more Conrady goodness in ME3. :D
