According to the info I researched, when the mission The Price of Revenge is completed, Zaeed's Loyalty power is supposed to be unlocked and you earn the Achievement Revenge.
I finished that mission and neither of those things happened.
So help me, if he dies and ruins my Suicide Mission survival award, I will not be a happy space camper.
This has happened to me twice before in ME1, I completed the requirements for an Achievement and it wasn't awarded.
Zaeed and a dish served cold (Revenge)

Did you kill the guy or did you save the workers?

Yes
Edit: Maybe not... I just looked it up and apparently you can still get the achievement even when you kill them... I'm not sure... nevermind.

Blast, so my perfect record is gonna get flushed?
That sucks!
Remind me to kill Zaeed after the mission, if he doesn't die during it......
Me2Edit: I was uncertain on that fact, I thought you just had to finish.

Yeah, you gotta screw the workers and go after Vigo.
Yeah, my paragon shep hated it, but he saw it as necessary to the grand scheme of things.

I saved the workers.
He didn't die nor did he endanger the mission.
So all was well.

That's what I don't understand, how can one power be the difference between life and death?
Do they not have 4 other abilities with which to fight?

Also - if your paragon is high enough, you can save the workers and still get his loyalty.

It's not so much the power you get as the reaction you get from the NPC in question. You do something for the NPC, show them you have the qualities they in particular want to see in you, in their leader, and you gain their loyalty.
I'm assuming the loyalty is what gives them the extra push, the extra drive, that extra bit of confidence in you that they need in the endgame to tip the scales.

I ditched the workers to go after Vigo. Zaeed basically told me to go after Vigo or he's finished with me, so I didn't have many options...
Anyway, I got the achievement, and his loyalty.

I saved the workers and he still screwed me over for that achievement, although, there might (MIGHT) have been another option to talk to him .MA5Bergey wrote...

You need Paragon points to pass a speech check with him if you went for the workers. But after going through the burning building once I stopped caring for the workers as long as I didn't have to see the crappy flame effects Bioware put in the mission.
As for Zaeed's role in the Suicide Mission...nothing. Just don't let him do anything, and he'll survive. Really why would you trust him with anything, he won't even talk with you on the ship.

Don't let him do anything?
Is that possible?
I thought they all had to go.
Hmm, maybe he can serve the snacks in the planning stage.
And yes, he's not very sociable.
Even Miranda warms up eventually.
