Look.  Memo to the programmers at bioware who probably have never seen a girl ... NOT ALL GIRLS WANT TO WEAR SKITS!!!! Especially cunning and lithe assassins or tough fighters ... so how about we get some armor in this freaking game for women that DOES NOT involve a skit.  First of all the female versions of the light armour (i am playing a female rogue) are [snipped] ugly .... I DONT WANT TO WEAR A SKIRT ... I want to wear a skin tight body suit of armour, easy for moving and killing ... and what is with the super low neckline on the female armour ... great so i can't get my collar bones protected because the programmers/designers at Bioware are a bunch of sexist pigs with no sense of asthetic taste ....

I am shocked at the lack of vareity in this game ... compared to a game like neverwinter nights where you could dye your armour to suit your personal taste this completely lame game has 2 types of light armour both of which come in one ugly brown colour.  You want a one handed sword ... you got it ... just one mind you ... no variety, no rapier and katana and longsword and shortsword all looking different ... nope just longswords all of which look flippin retarded and oversized ....

thanks bioware. the art-direction/design on the personal items in this game suck

LdyShayna Edit: Watch your language, please.  Thanks!

Remember, it's a dark, epic tale of vengeance, lust and cleavage!

I hear the sims 3 is out.

Honestly this is one of those many topics where someone is up in arms over something silly.

What armor have you been wearing? All the armor I've tried on up until this point, with the exception for one Dalish cuirass, has covered the vast majority of my body while providing excellent defense. Heck, if it weren't for the stereotypical 'breasts' it would be hard to tell that the armor was even made specifically for a woman. Granted I have noticed that some of the armor fits, say, Leliana differently than it does with my Elf, so maybe that's where the problem lies?

Ummm - most of the leather/chain armor has "skirts". Even on males.

With your choice of forum avatar, isn't it a tad ironic to be complaining about "the super low neckline on the female armour"? :)

nothing says i am a dimwitted douchebag than not realizing that the 'sexist' part of the comment was hyperbole ... the point is it is UGLY!!! nobody wants to wear a skirt (not to meantion leave a very vital upper chest part of their body exposed, what are zevan's collar bones more precious than mine?) .... the point is all of the personal equipment in the game sucks ... it is limited in variety and ugly. at Least NWN had tons of different equipment and looks to said equipment that you could really personalize your character ... you wanted to wear a skirt and cleavage showing breastplate ... fine .. you wanted to be encased head to toe in tight black leather (better to sneak up and kill you with) ... you could do that too ... in this game .... not so much ...

This thread reminds me of that pic of the fat girl holding up the "women are not objects" sign in front of hooters. xD

the problem lies in that it is all ugly brown.  the female version of leather and studded leather has a skirt and no leg coverings and has a very open neck instead of a  high neck/protected chest area ... it looks retarded ... if you cannot tell that the 'female' and 'male' versions of the armour are radically different you are either blind or have no sense of asthetics

Yes.  That is why you put it in the topic title...  What do trolls like to wear?

The kilt aspect actaully offers much more protection then a tight pant leg.    Armor has toughed parts.  Cured insets, plates, linked mail, etc. depending on the specific kind.  These are hard, and can't bend.  so joints can't be protected in this way. Making them weakpoints covered only with flexible material.   The groin is very much one of these points.
The kilt provides a draping cover to the whole groin area which these plates can be used, while providing flexibility.

The cleavage.  ok. not so much.

There's always future expansions. I myself love women with a great figure in Lululemon tights. I am sexist though, it's a male hormonal thing, sorry.

than that only proves the armour is ugly for men too ... the point was it was ugly not that it was sexist ... the "and it is sexist too" was sarcasm and hyperbole ... tho i have no doubt that some amount of latent sexism/girl cluelessness on the part of the programmers/designers went into the lovely Zena warrior princess stylings of the game

So basically, your problem is that the armour isn't FASHIONABLE enough for you?
Way to make strides for the female gender.

This has been like this since video games were first made... hell its even been like this since men started drawing female ass-kickers. This is not something new. You either learn to accept it, or you get your panties in a knot everytime you start the game.

In 1P games like this, especially modable games, you have the option to mod the game. Dont like the "sexist" armour, change it. If you dont know how, learn if it bothers you that much.

Currently though, I think youre just a troll stirring the pot.

Wow. So this is really more about you wanting to wear pretty clothes and not at all about it being sexist. In fact, I think you were just sexist against your own sex. Kuddos.
