You do understand that sentances end?  Or have they not covered that in english class yet?

here is what I suggest you do, ASAP

1) make your own custom armor, or wait for some one else to do it for you
2) quit whining and crying like a little baby that you didn't get eaxctly what you wanted.
3) go play NWN 1/2, because you seem so found of them.

right, so brown, as its the natural color of leather, should be changed?

you know its called LIGHT armor for a reason, have you ever wore any kind/type of armor?
its LIGHT, so you can move with less hinderance, and it still does its job.

The "Medium" and "heavy" and "massive" armors cover the body of male/female totally.

I think you have no clue about "light" and heavy armor at all, its meant to be light, and called light for a reason.

yes. in a world of magic and dragons i can not possibly think of any other way to make a light armour than leave half of it off?  get a clue .. serioulsy. go play NWN and see that there were 4 or 5 types of light armour each of which had 10 different styles and came in a variety of colours (and which you could dye to suit you).  look i know you are all in love with this game ... huzzah.  but face it in some ways it pales in comparision to things like NWN and this is just one of those ways ... you like looking at your female rogue in a boring brown skirt than fine that is you, you have no taste ... to each their own ... but i do have exacting tastes and this game comes up way short on its ability to create diverse personal character styles.

*goes to played game list*

NWN1 + xp packs
NWN2+ XP packs

MMMMK, I dont remember the abality to die your armor in NWN with out mods that is.

Ok, First this is not NWN 1, or NWN 2 or anything thing else, this is called Dragon Age, O.K? ;)

What exactly do you want from a light armor? its called light for a reason, its offers better protection that nothing, and remains light and does not hinder movment much.

So, now I have no taste? I see now.<_<

I am going to tell you right now, if I was looking for armor, I would NOT, want a body suit, buecase that not armor, its clothing, periord. end of story.

A skirt s the best way to use leather in most cases, because it allows unhindered movement, and still gives a small manner of protection, its not historcal, its just the way armor is, get over it.

Look back in history, leather was leather, some was fancyer than others but it all followed the same idea, the same with chain and plate.

I have a clue, it appears you do not, you want a dress up barbie game, where you can dress the doll as you wish and add what ever armor value to it as you see fit.

yes.  why would you want to learn from previous projects, in which you had to add dye to make happy those games who revel in diversity and choices.

are you an idiot?  did i or did i not use "body suit" in quotes to imply not an actual vynil body suit from a stripper store but rather to imply a more form, body fitting set of leather armour ... one in which, while still conforming to all "laws of armour" was made up of more snuggly fitting pieces, with perhaps an underlayer and then strategically placed more thickly armoured or padded areas ... i am not an amourer myself, tho i am sure some of you are ... i am a person who knows when my character is wearing something god awful ugly which not only offends my asthetic sense but also detracts from my being able to develop a personalized character ...

like i said you want your rogue to wear a brown leather skirt .. fine ... i want mine to wear black or blood red or whatever other freaking colour i can think of and i want it to be more of a "body suit" look ... and the point is the game should be able to accomidate that ... it is not like my concept is outlandish? it is pretty common actually ... look at the female rogue character from any of the D&D game books ... I believe she is wearing "pants" so to speak ... the point is this game cuts tons of corners on this sort of equipment detail.  why? i have no idea but it is impossible to argue that it does in fact have a very limited range of personal equipment options,

The character customization is incredible. What you mean to say if that you personally don't like the armor/weapon graphics. Since the game has only been put a little over 24 hours, I'm sure you've had the chance to see all the variations already? You must be a totally 1337 gamer. The realism of the armor is somewhat disturbing, hopefully towards the later levels it will become more outlandish and cartoon-like (pronounced as 'like WoW'). Ohhh before I go, I notice some of my sarcasm has dripped onto your skirt, let me get that for you....

yes. what an outlandish thought.  a rogue/assisn who would want to wear variations on the blacks/greys colour scheme?  what a preposterous idea!

look. you want to kill bad guys and look at castle walls.  i want to develop a rich and immersive character if i am going to be playing/looking at them for 70 hours.  i stand by my statement that it is pretty pathetic that they couldn't come up with more than 2 types of light armour with one style each and in only one colour ... that is just lazy.

oh, yes, lets ignore the girl with the sharp pointy swords wearing the brightly colored armor that stands out more than anyone around her :?

So, I am a Idiot now? and I have no taste. B) I am moving up in the world.

you really have no clue abour armor do you?
The armor is already a snug fit, loose armor does you no good, if its moving around and not stying put and protecting you, like it should.

The armor already has parts of it ( leather ) that are harder/thicker than other parts for movment and protection reasons, the skirt is made of harder leather strips, that offeres protection, and movment still.

it really is outlandish, if you think about it.

Yes, I want to color my thin leather armor bright/outstanding colors that scream look at me! while I sneak around in it, ( or try to ) and act like nothing is wrong while I try to sneak up on you and stab you in the back. :pinched:

if you look there is a female in the link you posted that shows he wearing paints WITH the skirt, and one with out the pants.

I like catsuits better than this, but It's really not that big of a deal. I'm more bothered by the over-sized swords. They are almost as big as those Final Fantasy boards, *cough* I mean swords.

I tend to like swords that look like they weigh less than the person swinging them.  (those great swords are silly!)

Every time you get that new piece of armor or weaponry, equip it, and think "awesome"!  congratulations.  You're playing Advanced Dolly and Dragons. I'm amused at how these games can be described in varying degrees of testosterone.

yes. because obviously if i want more than two styles of light armour i am being too demanding and i should perforce then be expected to get into the toolset and design my own armour before i even finish playing the game once ... uh.  look.  i know you must have family that works for Bioware or something but seriously.  It is ok to think they took a big swing and a miss on the equipment ... really.  They won't take your game away if you say bad things about some parts of the game.  Sheesh.  It is like a DA:O cult up in this place ... all I said was if you are going to bring "the best role playing game ever" to the market you might want to pay some attention to the details of personal equipment and give the game a rich and diverse tapestry from which those of us who like to really personalize our characters can do so ... otherwise you probably aren't the "best RPG ever" ... that is all i am saying ...

Please understand - some people DO focus on immersing themselves in their character but DO NOT require being able to change the appearance of their equipment to do so.  One does not require the other.

actually.  you fail. let's read the top shall we "CONCEPT ART" ... that is not what is actually in the game.  It was what their ideas for what to put in the game.  And those 5 choices are all MALE (if you care to read the jpg title while you are over the picture).

In the game there are TWO.  Count the TWO. types of light armour halfway thru so far ... Leather and Studded Leather.  And while they come in a variety of "leveled" materiels ... they still all pretty much look the SAME.  That is not variety ...

Are all of you people really this dense or do none of you care about this sort of thing?  Really?  I cannot be the only one who is flabergasted at the lack of equipment variety?

I don't think Bioware is renowned for making games with even moderate amounts of armor.  Armor is usually pretty much scarce in Bioware games, with usually a few types and then various special sets sprinkled throughout the game.

Why not go and play NWN instead and stop whininh about it? This will solve nothing, you're just making yourself look ridiculous.

Actually, why wouldn't the light armour be brown? It's made of ****ing leather. What's wrong with the skirt? As someone else has stated, it's very good protection for the area it covers, alongside it being flexible, which allows for greater maneuverability. It's a little on the short side perhaps, but still.
