It would appear that you are, indeed, a flabergast of one.

No, lazy is spending all this time complaining about it when there are modding tools that you could be learning to make your own fashion show.
yes. because obviously if i want more than two styles of light armour i am being too demanding and i should perforce then be expected to get into the toolset and design my own armour before i even finish playing the game once ... uh. look. i know you must have family that works for Bioware or something but seriously. It is ok to think they took a big swing and a miss on the equipment ... really. They won't take your game away if you say bad things about some parts of the game. Sheesh. It is like a DA:O cult up in this place ... all I said was if you are going to bring "the best role playing game ever" to the market you might want to pay some attention to the details of personal equipment and give the game a rich and diverse tapestry from which those of us who like to really personalize our characters can do so ... otherwise you probably aren't the "best RPG ever" ... that is all i am saying ...
here,
http://social.biowar...index.php/Light
count with me now, from left to right.
one, two, three, four, five.
FIVE, YES FIVE, diffrerent styles right there, over the two you claimed, and you are the very person who posted the link.
fail troll is fail.
actually. you fail. let's read the top shall we "CONCEPT ART" ... that is not what is actually in the game. It was what their ideas for what to put in the game. And those 5 choices are all MALE (if you care to read the jpg title while you are over the picture).
In the game there are TWO. Count the TWO. types of light armour halfway thru so far ... Leather and Studded Leather. And while they come in a variety of "leveled" materiels ... they still all pretty much look the SAME. That is not variety ...
Are all of you people really this dense or do none of you care about this sort of thing? Really? I cannot be the only one who is flabergasted at the lack of equipment variety?

OH SNAP
LOOK HURRY! HURRY, Female leather armor, that does not have a low neck, has a skirt and pants!
yes, it seems you are the only one crying over nothing.
OH SNAP. THAT'S A MALE ELF ... OH ... SO CLOSE BUT STILL A FAIL!!!

I refer you to Bioware's own Tome Of Knowledge and the concept/final art for the light armour ...

Why not go and play NWN instead and stop whininh about it? This will solve nothing, you're just making yourself look ridiculous.Jacopo Belbo wrote...
nothing says i am a dimwitted douchebag than not realizing that the 'sexist' part of the comment was hyperbole ... the point is it is UGLY!!! nobody wants to wear a skirt (not to meantion leave a very vital upper chest part of their body exposed, what are zevan's collar bones more precious than mine?) .... the point is all of the personal equipment in the game sucks ... it is limited in variety and ugly. at Least NWN had tons of different equipment and looks to said equipment that you could really personalize your character ... you wanted to wear a skirt and cleavage showing breastplate ... fine .. you wanted to be encased head to toe in tight black leather (better to sneak up and kill you with) ... you could do that too ... in this game .... not so much ...
Actually, why wouldn't the light armour be brown? It's made of ****ing leather. What's wrong with the skirt? As someone else has stated, it's very good protection for the area it covers, alongside it being flexible, which allows for greater maneuverability. It's a little on the short side perhaps, but still.

I think I can sum up the entire artistic and intellectual merit of this thread in four words:
Bongo bongo whoopsie knickers
And now back to playing the damn thing.
Actually, at this point in time, it is too much to ask for. A. It is not in the game. B. The toolset is not available. If there were horses in the game, they would have been dead for a while now, and you'd still be beating them.is that so much to ask for?

Heh, very true. Unfortunately, stuck at work, so these forums are the only link I have right now to the game I'm currently obsessed with.

Jacopo, I am the same in loving to tinker with equipment options that define my character right down to taking a hit on ac if the helm doesn't look right. TYhe game should have come with more options, and I don't think the toolset should be an excuse to leave that stuff out of the original build, However it is what it is. The fact is there will be great options in a couple of months, making the game highly replayable. What the didnt deliver in equipment, they certainly did in story options, that you just donst see in other games. Just try to enjoy it for what it does deliver, and soon enough you will have the game you were waiting for.

On other news:
As for the armours being ugly/retarded/; feel free to turn off Lineage 2 and go take a look at real armour. Bioware are trying to make this game a believable as they can without putting off the fanbase. One of those requirements means less fantasy armours in favour of more realism.
Another comment of your's, Belbo, made me chuckle: " you wanted to be encased head to toe in tight black leather (better to sneak up and kill you with)". Now, I'm not entirely sure whether this is just pig-ignorance, or whether you are actually that stupid.
Tell me, what colour are forests? In addition, what colour is the night? The answer to the first is brown & green, the answer to the second is not pitch black. Black clothing tends to be much darker than night, even those dark ones where the lighting is poor. This can be coupled with the technology to create leather armour, namely the construction of the Burgundian Jack & Boiled Leather. Look them up; you might learn something.
Now get back into the kitchen!

You're an idiot. Have you been following this game at all? Sure, the game has dragons in it. And yes, it's a fantasy. But it's designed to be a gritty, believable one. It's meant to have a more down to earth feel to it, like you'r in a real, tangible world. One that just happens to contain dragons. This does not mean that the equipment and technology should be bat-**** insane. Calm down and stop moaning.Jacopo Belbo wrote...
and what is with this "the armour is trying to look realistic" .. uh. there are dagons in this game ... dragon is even in the name .. so lets put to bed the 'realism' arguments ... this is a fantasy game .... do i care if all of the equipment is medieval certified? no. i just want some diversity. and nobody can tell me that those ridiculous oversized weapons are "realistic" ...Illiani wrote...
