I used Legion to escort Chakwas back to the Normandy. I'm going to keep all my old stuff and just test the vents. Thane couldn't close the door so he got killed, and I think it was because he's not the most tech savvy.

I had my whole party loyal, with what I thought was all the upgrades. I had legion as my specialist in the vents, he died closing the doors I thought i'd lost Miranda as well, she gets shot in the stomach, but she ends up ok. Legion was only casualty overall.

I wonder if you need to upgrade tech all the way for that door part.

Part of it is if you make bad decisions with who does what task, they'll fail. Its partially testing your tactical ability and partially testing your knowledge of your team. My only death on my first run through was mordin but I have no idea why.

Part 1:
Vent - Tali
Leader - Miranda
Party - Samara and Jack

Part 2:
Kelly / Chakwas escort - Garrus
Biotic Bubble - Jack
Team Leader - Miranda
Party - Samara and Thane

Part 3:
Party - Miranda and Jacob

Miranda seems to be invincible. Samara and Jack seem to be the 2 best biotic bubble choices (Thane sucks. Hard.)

I.E: Don't make a Loyal character the leader of anything. For example, I set it up as Me/Jack/Thane, Miranda as Squad Leader2 & Legion as my tech. That is not true all my teamates survied and jack wasnt loyal, i honestly thik there is a way to beat the "system" for one i sent Legion into the tunnels he is much faster then tali, Miranda was the first squad leader and i took Tali and Grunt with me, second time around i sent mordin to escort the crew back to the ship, Samara was used to protect against the swarm, Garrus was second squad leader, i took miranda and thane with me :innocent:  Best of all no one died

Honestly I think the whole suicide aspect of the mission was a bit of a stretch. The only problem people have is confusing the vent mission with an assassination mission. Yeah Thane is used to crawling through vents but the mission objective is to open a door at the end of this vent.



In fact I think Thane is on the list just to confuse you. That one answer on the test that is so out there that it has to be wrong. I would understand if Thane's skills were more akin to an Infiltrator, but he has no tech abilities.



Honestly I think there should have been at least one required death.

I lost Legion in the vents and Zaeed as the leader of the team. Everyone else survived no probs.

Only Legion fell but somehow it seemed suiting... He died trying to close the door after sending him through vents.

Seeing a foe turned friend give everything he had for humanity and the other galaxy races.

Yeah. Grunt and Zaeed both died there for me on my test runs. It's one of those deaths that seems to only be based on who you choose and not their loyalty. Though the krogan dies where the stick-girl Miranda lives, so it's about tactics and not toughness. Grunt's lines over the comm are all about taking shots where Miranda's lines over the comm are all about killing the opposition and performing well.

Wow people actually had trouble? Was ****** easy for me no one died and i only had about a third of the upgrades.(all ship ones)

Miranda lead the first fire squad part, Garrus the second, Legion the tube guy, Samara the biotic specialist, Tali/ Garrus for first and last part with Mordin taking over for Garrus in the biotic bit.

Finished that last mission in about 15 minutes easiest thing in the game... Just spammed sniper shots at that left eyeball on the terminator. (was adept with the sniper rifle thing from the wossname mission)

oh and the black guy was my escort for the prisoners (never use him)

And everyone was loyal, goes without saying...

Maybe it depends on diologue choices, i remember two choose as you go speeches... if so i just spammed the goody-guy ones

Or level? I was 22-23ish going in.

Interesting. Going to spend some time figuring this out next time I reach the end (should've made a save for it on my first run-through).



Lost Zaeed, Legion, Garrus, and Miranda myself (Zaeed escorting people, Legion at the door, Garrus swarmed away, Miranda dead at the end). Felt bad about Legion dying but I felt he was kinda expendable (since he is only one of, what was it, over a thousand Geth? Could easily replace the one that died with another in ME3, I think). Hated seeing Garrus gone, but glad I was able to keep Tali safe.

I did a lot of upgrades. Not all of them, but a **** ton. Basically all I found. Most weapons were upgraded to 4 or such, all the shields I could find, etc.



Everyone lived.

I lost Tali while she was attempting to close the door, lost jack because I had Miranda as my biotic, lost Zaeed as my other squad leader and Mordin randomly at the end.

Not sure what I'll try next to get everyone to survive, definitely use Jack for the biotic specialist though.

Oh, everyone was loyal for me too.

People need to pay attention to the cutscene if their tech specialist has their head blown off. Your SECOND TEAM LEADER is providing cover fire. If your 2nd leader sucks, the tech specialist is going to die.

I never had Tali's or Legion's head blown off when they were loyal, regardless of 2nd team leader (experimented a lot with this).
